5 out of 5 eggsGood Camera

Pros: Nice 640x480 camera with pan and tilt. And only $48 delivered. I have purchased about 9 of these now...Picture is good and night vision is good to. The software and remote access are well put together and better than most cheap cameras software. I have used the remote access very easily using there interface, but i currently use this camera with blueiris software which it works perfectly with. Also has a nice setting to return the camera to your chosen preset position if it does have a network reset. Havent seen that in alot of the others interfaces.

Cons: NONE

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Camera for the price

Pros: takes 4-6 snapshots and emails them to me, or uploads to FTP server. also if I have the webpage open, it records a video automatically and stores it on my computer. it pans and tilts great. 2 way sound works well too, little lag but ok. they work well on WiFi G band. it has more features than i need.

Cons: no to many for the price. 640X480 res is max. no zoom. the power cord to the wall wart is short. around 40" or so.

Other Thoughts: for around $55 this is a no brainer. you can run up to 4 cameras on one webpage. i got 4 scattered around my house. they are great.

5 out of 5 eggsTremendous capabiltiy for the price!

Pros: Does everything it says! The scheduled motion detection alarm can signal a burglar alarm, send alarm el\mails with five photos attached, day/night vision (color in daylight, B&W Infrared at Night). Excellent built-in automatic IR illumination in darkness. Accessible from any smartphone using its browser, audio only works with IE via a downloaded ActiveX app. Can interface with burglar alarm to signal motion detect, as well as tie a Pan/Tilt preset position to an alarm (can monitor a door). Excellent system! I bought two of 'em and am very pleased!

Cons: None so far! I do wish the night time IR Illuminator was software settable, it is fully automatic with no over ride.

3 out of 5 eggsBang for your buck

Pros: Pan/Tilt covers a lot of horizontal and vertical view. Alarm system is great as well. This would be a lot better if I setup a FTP server to upload video clips on alarm. Great option to e-mail pics on alarm as well. Sometimes it can be glitchy and send random pics of nothing even on low sensitivity for movement detection. Great quality picture even for night vision.

Cons: Had a rough time trying to set this up at first not realizing that the software was not compatible with windows 7. I'm not sure about vista, but I ran a virtual machine running windows XP and was able to set everything up with a breeze. Setup software is cheap and have yet to get the WiFi setup correctly.

Other Thoughts: Manufacturer support is awful by the way.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome for the price!

Pros: Presets, talk/listen feature, video quality and pretty easy to setup and for the money to have a Pan and Tilt camera.

Cons: When you enable the wireless give it up to one minute to come back after reset. Timer shows 30 seconds. Interfered with my remote garage door opener, had to move.

Other Thoughts: Would actually be good at your door to see who's there and be able to talk to them without opening the door. For the price a great value.

4 out of 5 eggsBang for the buck

Pros: Does what I need for a fraction of the cost of higher end cameras. I setup security cam's so install was quite easy.

Wireless makes it easier to put it where you want it, not what your limited to by wire. Apple and android work well. Use market as android software leaves to be desired as another user pointed out. If your just watching on a LAN then anyone can set this up and use it. Camera server will require more knowledge.

As I stated it's a great bang for the buck if you know how to set one up. You can have LAN view working in 5 minutes. 10-15 for all the bells and whistles. Another 5 for DDNS.

Cons: If your not a tech you may be limited to LAN view only. You must know how to network to some degree, or able to understand what your reading.

You must know DNS as most residental modems are DHCP.Standard non-static IP address can change often.

You must know how to port forward in your router. DDNS allows to use a name "http://whatever.ddnsname.com". Camera server software is low end, and less than par english. However for the cost I must say it does work as it should. I can see how the UI would confuse most.

Camera software can't substitute what's needed to see it on the internet. Grab a tech that knows what he's doing and you will be happy as well as being able to rely on it recording what you need.

Other Thoughts: Overall it's great that we can have this type of equipment at this cost. A camera that can see in the dark, pan tilt, record, as well as email pictures as well as connecting to a camera server. What's not to like ? If I get 2 years with it I'm a happy camper.

Better doc's and easier software would have gave it 5 stars. Average user will have issues in my opinion.

5 out of 5 eggsEasyn IPcam

Pros: The picture looks good for a 640x480 res. Easy to pan and tilt from I.E. Night vision in the house has a good black and white picture up to 30ft. It will take pictures of motion and email them to you. They connect to my wireless router from 30ft without a problem.

Cons: After spending most of 2 days trying to set the first one up, I set the 2nd one up in 15mins. Youtube and google had good info on setup.

Other Thoughts: I'm happy with the purchase, just wish they were weather proof.

2 out of 5 eggsgood but cant get the audio working

Pros: my first IP camera and works well

Cons: The software took awhile to figure out. For some reason it would not find my camera with one computer on setup but was able to do it easily on another camera.

The software was a little awkward.

MAIN PROBLEM, can not get two way audio to work!! Any suggestions out there?

1 out of 5 eggsdon't make my mistake

Pros: Great price

Cons: If you need directions this is not for you..pop up warnings in chinese or pidgen english. Online help not after hours or weekends...great idea, great price, useless install instructions(incorrect web addresses and more...) it's Monday evening and I have yet to hear from either newegg or tomtop, dispite assurances by multiple cs reps during my hour long call Saturday evening

Other Thoughts: Please don't make my mistake unless you are very tech savvy
