Very nice subwoofer
Pros: Relatively tight sound, especially at the price point. The subwoofer is capable of accurately hitting low levels without sounding muddled. The subwoofer is capable of producing a large sound, but if it is set properly it produces clean, tight notes that do not distract you from the movie or video game.
Cons: None at this price point
Other Thoughts: I am really impressed with this subwoofer. I have this subwoofer hooked up to a Pioneer 820 receiver with Polk TL series 5 speaker setup. I used Pioneer's MCACC setup to calibrate the sound of the entire system. When doing this I turned the gain about halfway up on the Subwoofer. After calibration the crossover was set at 100, mainly due to the Polk speakers' smaller driver size. The subwoofer has handled blu ray movies and video games with ease. The subwoofer replaced a Sony 10" 2500 series subwoofer and the difference is very noticeable. The Energy subwoofer is simply higher in quality than the Sony. For $100 the Sony got the job done, but the Energy subwoofer produces a much cleaner sound. The dimensions of the Energy subwoofer are relative to other subwoofers with a 10" woofer, and the fact that it is down-firing makes it more cosmetically appealing, particularly in our family room. I am very happy with the subwoofer and would recommend it to anyone

excellent little sub
Pros: Small Size, capable of filling a mid size room with tight powerful low notes.
Cons: Not as powerfull as some other sub, but for listening at normal hearing levels it produces a punchy tight low rumble you can feel it in your chest as well as hear it with your ears.
Other Thoughts: I have it powered by a 130 WPC Yamaha RX-V2600, with a pair of klipsh RB-61 FOR FRONT AND POLK CS1 FOR CENTER AND 2 POLK M-30 FOR SURROUNDS.
