5 out of 5 eggsNice Speaker Upgrade

Pros: Good build quality, great sound.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: The satellite speakers took a day of music to break in, at first high pitched sounds would distort. After breaking things in everything sounds great; high volume music stays pitch perfect.
The sub is not as hard hitting as i prefer (don't really feel it) so i still use my old one, but that is a personal preference.

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic Speakers!

Pros: Very good build quality and wonderful sound. Got these for my father about 4 years ago for around 500$. They are still going strong and my dad absolutely punishes these speakers when he has been drinking. So at under 400$, these are a fantastic deal, well worth the money!

Cons: None

5 out of 5 eggsTOTALLY AMAZING!!

Pros: High build quality, unobtrusive, high quality binding post and most of all it's a steal at $349 with the promo code.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I'm not a hardcore audiophile but my main speakers for the past 15+ years are a pair of NHT Classic 3.3. I have this Mirage set (coupled with an Yamaha RX-A2000 AVENTAGE, also got it from here with a promo) in my 15x20 master bedroom and the sound is just amazing. So far I've only listened only to the music CD's (New Order, Nina Simone, The Police). The included SW is a perfect match for the system. I'll write an update after I have a chance to set them up for the movies. As usual, Newegg rocks.

5 out of 5 eggsIncredible

Pros: Small...sleek and as my wife puts it sexy. These little gems are nothing short of amazing...after setting them up.. powered by my Onkyo SR 508 that I got for free when I purchased these, I got the best deal on the planet in my opnion. From almost anywhere in my medium sized room the sound field is dispursed equally you have to here it to believe it. Go to the big box stores and listen to them...then come back to Newegg and buy them.

Cons: The only con I would say is they do not have binding posts..the spring clips for the wire however are of good quality and make wall mounting a snap as the wire is feed from below.

Other Thoughts: Bose speakers are no longer leading the small speaker pack.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent setup

Pros: I've owned the NANOSAT 5.1 for about three years now. Mine is the version just prior to this, more silver than black but it's the same speakers - bought from BB.

Mine is coupled with an Onkyo SR606 (I'll NEVER buy Onkyo again) Samsung 50" plasma and Samsung BluRay player. Amazing sound, great bass from the subwoofer, great imaging.

I was a Bose salesman years ago and these have the same broad soundscape as the Bose but are much less expensive and sound better in my opinion.

Cons: None really.

Other Thoughts: I did replace the center speaker with a more potent Infinity center console speaker and bumped up the center channel via the Onkyo. I am very pleased with the NANOSAT.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat set a few weeks in-

Pros: Got a great price and teamed with a Yamaha 567. These speakers have weight for their size and sound better than the Bose product if you ask me. They hide well in my room, which was a consideration. Don't consider a HTIB when you can get these at a rock bottom price. This is more speaker than the average person needs.

Cons: None so far- no banana plugs, but with good wire the connection is flawless and clean.

5 out of 5 eggsGood PC Speakers

Pros: - Small footprint
- good price buster deal
- very good sound!!! for my modest study
- the sub pushes enough air for my needs
- attractive yet unintrusive.

Cons: - I don't like spring clips for the speaker wire (banana plugs please)
- The sub could be better at the retail price point
- The manual is a waste of paper...wondering why they bothered.

Other Thoughts: Was looking for PC speakers that sounded good, provided decent surround sound, and would not further clutter my study. I looked at different options including especially powered speakers as options. Good powered speakers tend to have a large footprint. When I ran across a NewEgg pricebuster on these speakers and I saw that I could pick up a Yamaha 700 Neo HD unit at a similar price point to provide amplification and switching, it was easy to justify getting these speakers for a high quality PC surround sound setup that provides plenty of options so that whether I am listening to music, watching movies on my 30" 2560 x 1600 IPS monitor, or playing games, the quality of the sound is as enjoyable as any other part of my computing experience.

5 out of 5 eggsNanosat 5.1 will IMPRESS

Pros: Easy to hook-up, sleek design, incredible sound, and the price tag is well worth the high quality sound.

Cons: The center speaker performance is excellent, but a bit too tall. The system "appearance" would benefit from a lower profile center speaker.

5 out of 5 eggsVery nice sound

Pros: Much more affordable than Bose.
Really great sound.
Very compact, looks great in my living room.

Cons: The center speaker looks the same as all the other ones, wish it had a lower profile because it's kind of high in front of the TV.

Other Thoughts: This is a great little speaker system. Me and my dad both bought one off Newegg right after Christmas when they had it bundled with an Onkyo 508 receiver. My dad was dead set on getting a bose system, because of he liked the sound and also the size of the bose speakers. But I had heard good things about the mirage nanosats, and the speakers are pretty much the same size as the bose, so we went to check it out at a Best Buy with a Magnolia Home Theater section, and needless to say we were both blown away by the sound. He had been dead set on the Bose for months, but after he heard the nanosats, he immediately changed his mind. Not to mention the price for the nanosats is much better than any Bose system. You definitely won't go wrong with this system if you are looking for a system with very good sound and a small profile.
