2 out of 5 eggsWorks well when it works

This review is from: JBL J56BT Bluetooth On-Ear Headphone - Black

Pros: Very nice headset. No complaints. Buttons work well, battery life is good.

Cons: Died in a month. Won't take a charge. Pile of junk now. To be fair, I have a second one which is still working after some time - so I guess that makes it a 50% chance it will last...

Other Thoughts: Should have kept the packaging so I can return it.

2 out of 5 eggstoo tight, but good sound

This review is from: JBL J56BT Bluetooth On-Ear Headphone - Black

Pros: They have really excellent sound.
Convenient features: wired or blue tooth

Cons: They're too tight. The pressure hurts my outer ears and the top of my head -- even with the extenders pulled out all the way. I could not use them, because they hurt so much.

5 out of 5 eggsVery nice

This review is from: JBL J56BT Bluetooth On-Ear Headphone - Black

Pros: Sound quality is really good
Connection distance is good
Adjustment notches are firm and numbered
Construction Materials are great
Packaging with extras charger cable, connect cable, travel bag are nice.

Cons: The behind the head position causes the fit to be tight

Other Thoughts: Volume buttons didn't work with my Sony Walkman, they did work with different Computers and smart devices.

2 out of 5 eggsdisapointing

This review is from: JBL J56BT Bluetooth On-Ear Headphone - Black

Pros: Good sound quality, heavy ear cups useful in high noise environments. Painless pairing.

Cons: highest volume level is too low, initial comfortable feel turns to burdensome after a couple hours, like most ear phones, function buttons are poorly placed and easy to inadvertently press, I owned for about 4 months using an average of 2-4 hours a week before they died. First sign was a very short battery cycle followed by complete blackout.

Other Thoughts: Waiting on JBL 2nd stage of manufactures RMA process, where they ask you to submit all the info you submitted in the initial contact.... gotta love it. I paid too much -fiftysix- and change. Now at 30 something I see. If these lasted a good solid year, thirty bucks would be worth it.

2 out of 5 eggsJ56BT BLK

This review is from: JBL J56BT Bluetooth On-Ear Headphone - Black

Pros: I liked the Bluetooth and wired connectivity

Cons: Died after two weeks, It neither turns-on nor charges. This is an issue that has happened to others.

Other Thoughts: If it worked I would have been happy with the headphones.

5 out of 5 eggsThis is the best deal right now in wireless headphones.

This review is from: JBL J56BT Bluetooth On-Ear Headphone - Black

Pros: Comfortable, good battery life, easy to pair with devices, great wired performance when driven by quality amplifiers. Classic JBL stout, lively bass response despite what a lot of other reviews might indicate.

Cons: None yet.

Other Thoughts: Classic consistent JBL sound... they sound like my L36's did which sound like my studio 190's which sound like my JBL vehicle system etc. Wireless performance is good, but the real surprise(not to me) is the wired performance. Plugged into an average device (tablet, cell phone) the wired performance is good. When driven by a high power source, my alienware 14, the jbl sound comes out. High efficiency, classic west coast JBL bass, loud midrange presence, and clear high frequencies are realized. They can also handle more than 30 mW if monitored closely for clipping.

1 out of 5 eggsUnsatisfactory

This review is from: JBL J56BT Bluetooth On-Ear Headphone - Black

Pros: Packaging is premium and headset looks durable

Cons: Very average sound quality and I got this for $40 (compared to original $169 price) but still feel I've not had my moneys worth considering the so so sound quality. There are no deep basses and the sound range is pretty trim.

Other Thoughts: In comparison to other headphones, I'll recommend $12 JVC HAS160B FLATS. They are cheaper but better sounding compared to the JBL J56BT

4 out of 5 eggsSolid headphones

This review is from: JBL J56BT Bluetooth On-Ear Headphone - Black

Pros: Pretty solid sounding bluetooth headset. Nice deep bass, but it kind of muffles the highs and mids. Not noise cancelling but can not hear much with them on. Use them with my PS4, computer and phone. So far very happy with them will update if this changes.

Cons: none so far.

3 out of 5 eggsgreat but cheap.

This review is from: JBL J56BT Bluetooth On-Ear Headphone - Black

Pros: great sound

Cons: cheaply made

Other Thoughts: to get really good bass you need to place them at a certain position. if you press on them against your ears the sound goes out. very cheap and I see them breaking soon like others have reviewed. and they are kinda small. at full pullout they push my head.
