1 out of 5 eggs28 Days

Pros: Plenty of USB Ports Available.

Cons: Lasted only 28 Days.

Other Thoughts: Contacted Sedna Tech Support, Received only one reply to ask if it was plugged in to the power supply. I replied it was. No further support received from Sedna.

1 out of 5 eggsFail

Pros: Great concept for older motherboards that have no USB headers/ports, or for newer motherboards with USB headers/ports and you want more, especially on your front panel

Cons: After a week, including e-mail correspondence with Sedna (very difficult to get a hold of), whenever I plugged in a USB 3.0 or 2.0 device, it wouldn't be recognized (external USB 3.0 HDD) by Windows. Windows Professional 7-64 drivers (VIA) appeared to be installed fine (showed up in Device Manager), 4-pin molex was plugged into card, blue LED was lit on card, but nothing happened when a device was plugged in to one of the card's ports or the front panel ports. Sucks that I have to PAY to get this defective device back to newegg, but that's one of the risks of online purchasing. At least I don't have to send it back to China (thanks for that newegg)...

Other Thoughts: Maybe it's that my motherboard is too old (EVGA 780i SLI FTW); however, none of the Sedna reps could confirm that...

5 out of 5 eggsit works

Pros: good speed. fits nicely in case. front panel kit brings metal bracket that give the option of placing all 7 ports in the back.

Cons: a little flaky in older underpowered computer. in two older computers would install only after I got drivers installed FIRST.

Other Thoughts: If you can get the drivers installed before attaching card it goes more smoothly. I did this by first installing a 4 port card with same chipset. then I swap in the 7 port card.

1 out of 5 eggsCompletely useless now

Pros: 7 ports

Cons: It worked great for a while, then it started having transfer issues when moving files between drives attached to it, now it is completely useless... device failed to start stuff. I am using the latest drivers from Sedna's site and still a waste. None of the drives attached to it are detected as the internal via usb3 hub is unable to start.

Other Thoughts: It was a nice idea, but it failed to keep up with me and turned out to be a poor investment. I really wish it worked better. Who knows I may have a lemon, but I think I am just a power user who paid extra for the individually powered 5v 1a ports to attach hard drives to and found it to be faulty. I keep waiting to see a firmware update, other via chipset usb3 adapters seem to get their problems resolved via a firmware update.

5 out of 5 eggsFast Transfers.

Pros: Shipping was pretty fast considering it came from Hong Kong. Took seven business days to get to my door. Well packaged so no damage to the boxes. PCI-E 1x size so I finally get to use that little slot on my motherboard that nothing else has ever fit into before.

Cons: Floppy sized front panel for most cases these days isn't ideal but I had adapters around for my case so it looks ok. Would have been nice if they had included screws, I had to dig around to find ones that were the right thread and a small enough head to fit into my screwless adapter holes.

Other Thoughts: Installation took a little playing with my WIN 7 system. Failed the first try and then dropped out the second after it installed but I think I may not have had it seated all the way in my PCI-E 1x slot. It's been working great since I reseated the card and did a third re-boot. Cables are 24" long for the front panel adapter so they were plenty long enough for my Coolermaster HAF 932 full tower case. Uses an IDE power connector so make sure you have one or a SATA to IDE power patch cable available. Transfers speeds are great. I'm mostly using this for large video file transfers for my external and portable USB 3.0 hard drives. Getting a consistent 90MBps transfer to the WD 2.5 drive and 120MBps to my Seagate 3.5. Occasional bursts up to 300MBps when I start so it's blazing compared to the 25 - 30MBps I was getting using USB 2.0 connectors. I'm not planning on doing a motherboard upgrade in the foreseeable future so this is nice way to bridge the gap until I have something with native connections or something faster comes along.

3 out of 5 eggsWas good, but unreliable

Pros: Lots of USB Ports

Cons: This was good until I really started using it to transfer files between drives. After a lot of data transfer, the devices become unresponsive and eventually the card seems to reset itself dropping what was connected. It is pretty much useless to me for doing any transfers between devices.

5 out of 5 eggsSeems Good So Far

Pros: Seems to work perfect for me. I downloaded the driver from Sedna's site. It claimed to fail on something, but after about 20 seconds, Windows detected everything and my devices. The cables were more than long enough for my case. Everything seems fast without jitter.

Cons: The 2.5mm bay's screw holes seemed a little too high, I had to take out my modeling knife to adjust where I was mounting it. It took quite a long time to arrive from China.

Other Thoughts: I am happy with the purchase, the price was higher than I would have liked, but it was the only thing that fit my need. Past USB 3.x cards have had some issues, but I have yet to have those with this. I have tested with Win 7. I will be testing Linux later and will post an update or new review if I have problems with it.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: It works.

Cons: Cables on the 3.5" front panel are really short, you'll more than likely need to get additional cable to reach the adapter card even in the smallest of cases. Came from Hong Kong and took a really long time getting here.

Other Thoughts: I still give it 5 eggs because it works, I don't use the front panel, and was in no rush to get it.

5 out of 5 eggsadapter USB 3.0 7 port

Pros: Installation very easy.7 USB 3.0 ports! Simplicity in itself.Driver download fast.Website easy to navigate-did not bothered with mini-CD disk(comes in the box)

Cons: 1.Not a con-if you do not have floppy drive bay in the tower, will have to get an adaptor.
2.Full tower owners-cables to front panel somewhat short, might mess with cable management.
3.Front panel is black color matte plastic-worked in my tower, but if you have different color......
DO NOT KNOCKING EGGs for this

Other Thoughts: add cable length for front panel -12 inches and option to get full bay to floppy adaptor(make it DELUXE :-P).Overall very good product
