5 out of 5 eggsWorks nicely

Pros: It was as exactly as described. Gets the job done
Has different temperature settings for different types of tea brewing.
Has a removable strainer in front of the spout, located on the inside.

Cons: Not necessarily a con but I was planning on purchasing another for around 65 bucks (with a coupon) but Newegg yanked it off the sale shelf. Either that or they sold out... But there are other sellers on Newegg offering this item for 100 bucks. Still a better deal than Bed Bath & Beyond

5 out of 5 eggsLovers of Tea rejoice

Pros: This perfectly heats water to the exact temperature to make all your favorite types of tea. I have to say it's very well made and very easy to use (press your tea, hit start). The LEDs on the unit are very nice lighting up exactly what you want and the are not annoying (blinding). This is a very quiet tea kettle as you don't really hear the water boiling much before it goes off. The kettle is decently heavy and feels really good in the hand (weighted well).

Hands down this is one of the best electric tea kettles I've ever used. Well worth the price!

Cons: The only Con so far... which isn't really even a con, but could be.... is that the "ready" alarm is soft. I would think that if you had this going in another room with the TV on you might not hear it. I'm almost always in the room where I'm making tea so it's not an issue...but it's not the loudest thing.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Ability to set temp for verious teas
Keeps the temp you want for half an hour, if desired
Looks great
Blue led for the window is a nice touch

Cons: 2 weeks after purchase, it stopped heating up water. The electronics we're on as indicated by buttons and lights

Other Thoughts: Never though I would say this, but I miss this kettle. That's right a kettle! It has just the perfect options and the tea really does taste better at the correct brewing temp. Might just go out and purchase another one!

5 out of 5 eggsNice if a bit pricy

Pros: Well built, Cordless, Variable Temperature. Keep warm feature. Faster than heating water on the stove.

Cons: Um the price! I saw this at my local Bed, Bath and Beyond and admired it but was scared off by the 99.00 retail. Between New Eggs Sale price, a 15% off appliance special and a 20.00 gift card offer and free shipping this was 48.00 plus no sales tax.

Other Thoughts: A very nice well thought out piece of kitchen equipment.

5 out of 5 eggsOutstanding Product

Pros: This is an expensive tea kettle, but sometimes you get what you pay for. First of all, it's 1500 watts, which is about as high as it can be with 115V-120V electric service, so it's fast. But more important, it has several sub-boiling settings for different kinds of tea that result in a much better tasting cup of tea than you'd get using boiling water. By default, it goes into "keep warm" mode when you put the kettle back on the base, then shuts off after 20 minutes. Of course, if you know you never have more than one cup, you can turn it off when you put the kettle back on the base.

OK, I admit I like the cool blue LEDs too. But the key advantages are that it heats water quickly and the choice of several different temperatures (including boiling if that's what you want)

Cons: I didn't find the instructions intuitive. For instance, you have to hit "start" after selecting a temperature. Once I got past that, though, it does default to "keep warm" after you pour and then it shuts off automatically. I wouldn't mind if the "Keep warm" button was a little larger, but that's a very minor complaint. It's worth the standard Newegg price, but it's certainly pricey.

Other Thoughts: I love a good bargain and I hate paying for just a brand name. This isn't just "a Cuisinart", it's worth the money.
