He was really happy that I got him this bundle with accessories. I had charged the battery ahead of gift wrapping it so he could use it immediately when he opened it on christmas eve. Everything arrived in a box with good padding etc. Cons: I was really unhappy after my husband noticed that there were two Memory cards in 8gb rather than one 16. To further this annoyance neither card actually works. When inserted he formatted them and was able to take some pictures and then the next time the camera turned on, it said format card and all the pictures had been lost. Other Thoughts: In general we are happy, a little dissapointed that I had to run out to costco and pick up cards that would actually work. Cons: Tripod came broken (see "Other thoughts") Other Thoughts: Came on time and works well out of the box (most of the items in the kit are knock off; but, for a beginner, this kit is great!). However, the tripod came all busted up. So, I sent them an email expecting to have to return the entire mess of items or have to do the whole "send it to use and we will reimburse your shipping later." That was not the case, they were extremely understanding and generous in their return policy, completely took me by surprise.
