5 out of 5 eggsHard to kill

Pros: Its Durability!
Large capacity.
Nice size.

Cons: ?
Not as fast as some.
Tight fit in some computers.

Other Thoughts: I have 3 of these bad boys. I lost one for a couple weeks only to find it in the expansion joint of my driveway. By the look of it, I had run it over a few times with our Armada (7,600 lbs vehicle), it has been swimming with me, been through the washer and dryer and still works. What can I say? It survives my abuse and has ever let me down. Period.

5 out of 5 eggsBest Flash Drive I've Ever Owned

Pros: This is the best flash drive I've ever owned. First of all, it is SMALL, almost unbelievably small compared to others of the same capacity (32GB). Also, it is beautiful. If you kept this flipped the other way, one could almost wear it as a necklace (if you had a nice chain for it). I've not done any benchmarks, but the drive is ReadyBoost ready as I was allowed to set it up (but that's not what I'm using it for). Copying files felt faster than other flash drives I own. What I got this drive for is to use in my car receiver's USB port for my music. It, so far, has survived the harsh weather extremes of my car.

Cons: The shiny, chrome finish shows finger prints well, but the thing is so small that wiping it off with your shirt takes care of it. Also, I am scared to leave it in my pocket because it's so small. I've actually panicked because I thought I lost it, but it was still there! Also, it can get pretty warm after use, but since it is small, it cools quickly.

Other Thoughts: You'll love it. One idea I've had is to get the 16GB version or smaller and load it up with all our special memories (like our wedding pictures and video). Then buy a nice necklace chain for it for her to wear as a piece of jewelery.

1 out of 5 eggsPico-C 32GB is expensive jewelry

Pros: Small. Great design, but.....

Cons: Consistently fails and becomes write-protected after writing less than 4GB of data to the drive. I've tried FAT32, exFAT, and NTFS, with varying rations of encrypted to unencrypted ratios, and with several computers & USB hubs, and always have the same problem. I've also tried writing 3GB, removing the Pico to let it cool down, then writing additional data - it always fails with less than 4GB, and the data is corrupted. Not only is it painfully slow, but it is completely unreliable as a backup device. If I could give this a zero rating, I would.

Other Thoughts: I bought the hardware encrypted version of this through a different vendor (a big mistake itself - I should have bought through NewEgg). The first one I had also had the capacity problem, but failed completely within a few hours and had to be RMA'd through the vendor. The worst part is that SuperTalent tech support is entirely non-responsive. I suggest you browse the user forums on SuperTalent's web site before buying this flash drive - many people have had the same issues with a variety of their flash drives, and have been unable to get ANY response from SuperTalent.

3 out of 5 eggsAwesome drive, when it works...

Pros: This drive looks awesome and is made of solid metal. I have been pretty rough with it and it is still kicking with a vengeance.

It is pretty fast, especially for its size and if you put it in NTFS format.

The drive will also help you get girls! Yes, girls! When you get the drive out they say, “What is that!?” Then I say, “Let me show you…” A great conversation starter. :)

Cons: If you are transferring for a long time, or large files, the drive gets SuperHOT! It will actually burn your fingers when you go to pull it out.

As others have stated the drive is a little difficult to put in and pull out-of the USB ports. Luckily its made of metal and can take a, “…serious man handling…” as one person said.

The drive will corrupt the data from time to time, I haven’t figured out why, but it does it on HFS+, FAT32 and NTFS file systems. You can still read the data, you just can’t write to the drive until you Format.

Oh, and NEVER LEAVE YOUR DRIVE IN WHILE BOOTING YOUR COMPUTER. Every time I have done this the drive will quit working until I reformat.

Other Thoughts: If you are into aesthetics, such as myself and want to use the drive as strictly a file transfer device for… getting the latest “Borrowed” media from your friends, then I would suggest this drive. It should also get you some dates too when the girls ask you what the heck it is.

If you are going to use the drive for anything else I would NOT suggest getting this drive until SuperTalent fixes its issues.

5 out of 5 eggsWait for the gold!

Pros: I have the current 8GB, its been on my keyring for the past year+. No problems, corruption.

I am waiting for the Gold one, as they had for the 4GB I believe. Its on Super's website, just need NewEgg to stock it.

Cons: Newegg only carries the silver coler

4 out of 5 eggsOverall a good purchase

Pros: I'd say my average write is between 7-9MB although an 8GB vhd was copying at 20MB per second.
I like the tiny size and the snug fit into the USB slot.

Cons: Could be easy to lose since it's small. I've been waiting for the 64GB version.
