The heat shrink on the ends is all even and should last for awhile. I was using some sony studio headphones and these blow them out of the water with how crystal clear the sound is and how deep the bass is when listening to anything from people talking to music. Cons: The padding at the top is a little hard at first and takes some getting use to but after a few hours you will not notice anything. I was somewhat disapointed when I was looking at the box and it stated that I should have a travel bag included. There was no travel bag :( The travel bag was no listed on here so maybe that is why the price is a little lower??? Other Thoughts: I really wish the cord was longer. The old sony headphones I had came with 6.6ft and these are much shorter. I had to purchase a cord extender because I use these on the computer and not with an iPhone or the like.
