4 out of 5 eggsKOCASO Tablet Review

Pros: These are good, inexpensive machines for web browser applications. Excellent laptop replacement. Quality is good for standard use, especially with hotspots. Downloaded Chrome browser and it performed well.

Cons: The first tablet purchased included a small, soft carrying case. The next three purchased did not have cases. The case is great for carrying the charging unit and the USB dongle. Please include it as part of the package because it is very useful.

3 out of 5 eggsCheap

Pros: Got these for my daughters to see if an investment in better units is worthwhile they work good but don't abuse them change in orientation is quick when rotating tablet Ice Cream Sandwich is adequate

Cons: these are very cheaply made that is why cost so little do not drop on unpadded surface from over 1' above it or it will break and no longer work screen will crack case will come apart after just 18" fall can't get it to work again and warranty does not cover that but I learned that at least one of my daughters wants one

4 out of 5 eggsIt's cheap, but you already know that.

Pros: Very inexpensive, a good "training" tablet to see if you've got a real need for a more expensive, feature laden tablets. Relatively modern Android OS. Decent enough camera for the price.

Cons: The included "case" is pitiful, flimsy backing with loose elastic, the tablet won't be protected, don't try. Instead I got a Targus case for the Kindle Fire (Not Fire HD) and trimmed off a section for access to the power buttons and USB port. Fits like a glove!

Other Thoughts: This is in no way, shape, or form a replacement for an iPad or a Galaxy Tablet. This is bare bones, minimum hardware for a decent tablet experience. If you only need a simple portable device with wifi (no bluetooth in this baby) for basic functions, or for a child/teen who sure doesn't need a more expensive model that'll get you charged for cell-phone style internet access, this is a good tablet for you.

It serves my needs for the present and I'm pleased with it, overall. It's not much, but I don't really *need* much.

3 out of 5 eggsPuzzling...

Pros: Low price; fairly clear images; straightforward, functional, and capable Ice Cream Sandwich OS. Nice, low-price, entry into the world of tablet computing.

Cons: You get what you pay for. A hundred bucks more gets you a real 7" tablet. This one needs more oomph. Not enough processing power, or memory - or something. I added a bit (1GB) of flash memory I had laying around, and can't determine what function it might perform. Has an annoying tendency to seem to drop its Wi-Fi connection.

Other Thoughts: I wonder if there's some variation in the capability of these things as they come off the assembly line. Mine, for example, refuses to play the video from a streaming Netflix offering (although it can handle the sound). Some, here, report theirs does fine in this regard. I have a 1st generation iPhone laying around here which is still happy to play a Netflix movie - so you'd think this thing, 6 years newer, would be up to the task. Having written that, it runs other apps with ease, although it occasionally drops my wifi signal in the midst of something, and it's a pain to get it to re-connect.

4 out of 5 eggsFor the money, I'm satisfied.

Pros: Preloaded w/ bunch of useful apps. I installed Opera Mini as preferred browser, chokes on Chrome. Not an iPad mini or Nexus 7 so it is not reasonable compare to. For the cost I'm satisfied... so far.

Cons: battery life seems a bit short at about 1-1.5 hrs. of use before rquiring recharge, but recharge is quick.

Other Thoughts: For the money, you wouldn't expect much.. and it may not perform like a tablet costing 3-5 times as much, but serves my purposes. If lost-stolen.. or more likely dropped by the user.. that'd be me, I'll not be heatbroken either.

2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: It was rather cheap. Also decent free case. It turns on.

Cons: Almost impossible to plug in power - doesnt go in, have to either force it, or be ready to charge through usb (as I am doing now). Screen resolution leaves much to desire, but 800x480 was stated, wish it looked better. There was rather deep 1/8 inch scratch on glass surface right out of box (either manufacturer was careless when packing or tablet was refurbished in some way). For some reason takes half hour to download 12mb file - even if connected to wifi perfectly. Not worth to ship back for me, gave it to kids to play with.

Other Thoughts: My advise to all is to stay away from generic tablets and go for brand names like Sa%%%ng and M%*&&ft and A^%le.
You get proper support and quality. Or you can dive in and have half cooked product that might spoil your future tablet experience :)

1 out of 5 eggsHorrible

Pros: Price.

Cons: All apps I use crash constantly. Processor is extremely slow. Display is listed as HD, however my sdtv gets better quality pictures.

Other Thoughts: I purchased this tablet based on the customer reviews. The reviews were extremely good. However, when I received this product, I found that the tablet constantly crashes, the apps are snail slow and the product does not meet my expectations. I installed Chrome and out of 10 times opening the app, it crashed 7 of those times. I use Viggle app and it takes about 5 times longer to process the sound clip as my cell phone. Which is a bottom of the line android. The display is listed as HD, but quality is extremely poor. I don't write many reviews, but I felt this is a must do for this item. If you do buy it, be forewarned, you'll regret it,

1 out of 5 eggsKocaso Tablet -Caveat Emptor

Pros: Worked great for about a week and loved it (for the price paid) when it worked. Was able to install most of the popular android apps without any problem.

Cons: DEAD after 1 week. Screen is just a scrambled mess. Now completely unusable. Threw out packaging material after a few days of use when it was working fine. Now I am S.O.L.

Other Thoughts: Save all packaging if you choose the cheap Chinese route. I will go with a name brand when purchasing my next tablet.

The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of a low price is forgotten.

1 out of 5 eggsBarely an e-reader

Pros: It was cheap...and the battery lasts a long time.

Cons: It is cheap. The resolution is terrible, it freezes constantly, the touch screen isn't very responsive. I'm using it at this point just for pdfs and reading books. Otherwise it is next to useless.

5 out of 5 eggsSurprisingly Good Deal

Pros: I expected limitations because this is a 'bargain unit' but it is a surprisingly well made tablet. The screen is very readable, and the battery life has so far been as advertised. I have tried a dozen or so simple aps, including some which run basic 3D stuff like dice rollers, and nothing has choked. The interface is straightforward and easy (normal Android I imagine, this is my first experience with this OS). Units delivered with protective carrying cases (very basic) which was an unexpected addition, at least I don't remember reading that these were included.

Cons: On the unit I received, the circuit board is not perfectly aligned inside the plastic case. This can make plugging in the USB cables and power cable a little tricky, for fear of damaging the unit. The manual is readable, but the print is exceedingly fine, and the information is kind of cursory and light on technical specifications. I am not entirely sure how RAM works in tablets, but the advertised quantity is 4 GB, and the OS only reports on 2 GB. I did order 8 GB SD's to go with my units to ensure adequate working space, but as others have reported, it seems short in this department. Maybe the OS is using the other 2 GB?

Other Thoughts: For what I paid for the two units I bought, I feel I got a great deal. I would feel compelled to revise my rating if I should experience sudden technical problems in the next year, but so far so good. I am pleased with my purchase.

If you're not sure if you want a tablet, as I was not, I believe this is plenty of tablet to start with. Of course I want something bigger now.
