1 out of 5 eggsStainless steel can opener

Pros: It is a slim streamline can opener to have on the counter all the time

Cons: Some of the time it will open small cans , a lot of the times the part that is suppose to cut just falls out on the counter.the larger cans ..forget it it wont even pretend to cut them..So now have a good looking can opener on the counter and have to pull out the old fashion cutter to open cans.

I have had and still have a lot of cuisinart that has been really good. But this opener, I think everybody who bought it should get their money back on it

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Looks great, small footprint, sturdy.

Cons: Started malfunctioning within six months. Had to hold pressure on lever to keep it cutting. Internal plastic part holding lever onto body finally broke. Now it's a real expensive paper weight.

3 out of 5 eggsWatch Out!

Pros: Quiet, efficiently opens small cans. Magnet holds the cut-off lid for easy disposal.

Cons: One major complaint! After three month's, this $60.00 can opener will no longer open larger cans at all!
For example, large spaghetti sauce cans. What am I supposed to do? You would expect that a respected brand name, coupled with a "not so cheap" price, wouls translate into a product you could count on for at least a couple of year's! For now, we have no choice but to try to limit the number of large cans we purchase, usually buying "two" small cans, instead of the cheaper "large" can; and purchasing an all plastic "As seen on TV" hand crank can opener, at a third of the price of the Cuisinart, which opens EVERYTHING all the time, after two month's of usage, so far.

Other Thoughts: How much do you have to pay to get a decent reliable electric can-opener??
And, where are they?? Haven't found one yet.

5 out of 5 eggsI can open cans

Pros: 1) Cuisinart
2) It opens cans

Cons: 2) Expensive can opener

Other Thoughts: I needed a stainless steel can opener and I usually go with higher end kitchen appliances- so I got this.
