Pros: We have about 15 of these in use (all ordered from newegg).
Absolutely top quality. After dealing with constant problems with other cheaper inverters/chargers we decided to go with these tripp lites.
Regardless of the plastic body, they are very sturdy in the key areas.
The manual VERY CLEARLY tells you the amount of torque required (3.5 newton meters) to secure the cables. They also say that insufficient tightening will void the warranty.
Look at it like this, if it breaks then I can't imagine tripp lite not taking care of it. But I also can't imagine that if you tightened it properly you would have to worry about it breaking.
VERY detailed manual. Although I wish it told you what size of hex wrench to use (7/32! I'll save you the hassle).
We use these for mobile work stations that are in use 12 hours a day. We never turn them off, and have had one location using these for over 5 months now non-stop.
For our application these are incredibly nice.
Cons: Price, might be overkill for what most people need.
Other Thoughts: Again, we've purchased 15 of these so far, intend to switch all of our locations over to these.

Pros: Installed this in a utility van for AC power. I have only had this installed for around 30 min so the review is kinda brief. I ran a Drill that is rated at 9A on the inverter just fine, the inverter grunted a little as the motor started. The drill is definitely over the max rated power of the inverter, but do to the double boost you can run at double power for a couple of minuets. It is also pretty heavy in weight for a 750 Watt inverter. The battery charger seems to work nicely and will be very nice out in the field. I will no longer have to worry about draining the battery wile the radio is on in the Van for 8 hours. The power portion of the inverter is 5 eggs.
Cons: What is so bad about it? Being a TRIPP LITE I was under the impression I was getting a quality product, but the entire case is made out of plastic. Even the mounting tabs are plastic, so longevity of the casing might be cut since there is a lot of shaking around in the vehicle when it is driven. The layout of the Fan guarding makes it a PAIN to tighten the battery cables down and I did not want to over tighten them since it is all plastic. The AC Socket guarding makes it very hard to put the mounting screw in. It did not come with any mounting hardware, not a big minus but come on.
Other Thoughts: From my little actual use of this inverter it would have been given 5 eggs if it were made out of metal. I can deal with the problems of installing it since it is a one time deal. Hopefully nothing hits it while going down the road since it feels very fragile.
