I have got them confused before and turned off the computer instead of the tv. I am now cautious with the power button and the little light. -can not turn ON computer with remote Other Thoughts: The only remote i could find that works for tv infared and computer. This works perfect for us since we have our tv hooked up to our 42" tv and use it like a media hub/2nd monitor. The pc mode is great. Has video functions that are for windows but work the same for vlc player. Playing movies on the tv from our computer is our main purpose for the remote. Has right and left mouse buttons that is great for clicking and dragging things. Has a mouse ball that works just like the blackberry ball and is great for basic use but do not recommend for any type of gamming. The keyboard is perfect for quick searches and the backlight helps with seeing the letters with no problems. The TV mode works like normal tv remotes. The universal learning remote helps to combine all remotes into one. We had a tv remote, the sound bar remote, and tv box remote.
