5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: It is a nice little device to have if you don't have an AUX port in your car. All you have to do it hook it up to a MP3 player and select a FM station that isn't in use. Tune your radio to that station and you are done. That's it. You are done.
Nothing more to it than that.

Cons: The only downside, and this is more of personal preference, is that it isn't very loud. I have to hike up the volume on the car for it to be a level.

I haven't tried other MP3 players to see if it is just the device that I am using. It's just nice to be able to play music in my car, without having to sift through CDs. Nothing really to note other than that. Not worth taking an egg off the review. Still an amazing device.

Other Thoughts: Because it is a direct connection with a 3.5mm jack, it may not work with all cases that would be available with your MP3. Luckily with mine, the case that I am using does not have any issue with connecting to the FM Transmitter.

2 out of 5 eggsLasted 4 drives

Pros: - Cheap
- Has built-in battery
- Can charge via micro-USB

Cons: - Not a very powerful broadcast
- Apparently fragile? or QA problems

Other Thoughts: My unit broke my 4th time using it. It simply stopped broadcasting in the middle of a drive. I haven't gotten more than 2 hours out of it total. I submitted an RMA and I'll update this review later.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks as expected!

Pros: Works with little or no interference.
Easy to change frequency.
Can be powered via USB or car charger.
Simple screen which dims after a small amount of time.

Cons: Headphone jack will only work if you don't have a case on your phone. You could either remove your case partially or entirely every time you want to use it or buy an auxiliary cable extender. Though, those tend to be long because they weren't meant for this kind of usage.

Other Thoughts: Tested on the Samsung Galaxy S4.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Customer Service

Pros: Wireless, compact, and sleek design. Works great with my any phone with an audio jack! If you don't have an aux cord, or tape deck this is the way to go! It did arrive DOA, but the customer service is terrific. I requested a rma, they emailed the next morning and replaced the product immediately. They didn't even require me to mail the damaged one back which was really nice.

Cons: It did arrive doa, but great customer service fixed that. The battery isn't too great but it can plug in via any usb port to charge so not a big deal. Will not work if your phone has case you may need to get an aux extension.

Other Thoughts: Great customer service, cannot say it enough!

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Simple, easy to understand design

Cons: DOA, LCD screen doesn't light up

Other Thoughts: I bought this to replace a different FM transmitter and when the product arrived, I immediately plugged it into a wall charger so I could test it. A couple hours later, I tried turning the transmitter on but it appears I received a defective product. The LCD screen doesn't light up and the transmitter itself doesn't appear to turn on, even after I make sure the switch is set to On. Very disappointed. I had been looking forward to using a product that had curried favorable reviews.

4 out of 5 eggsGood for the money

Pros: If you don't have an input jack or Bluetooth in the car, it's the only way to go.
Fidelity pretty good

Cons: Can be noisy.
iPhone can't have case on it

Other Thoughts: You can't use this with a case on the iPhone because the case won't let the plug go all the way into the jack and make good contact. An alternative is that you can get an extension cord - stereo mini female to stereo mini male and keep the case on.
I also find that it works best if you keep the device very close the car's antenna. If you don't, it tends to generate some noise, especially if you live in a city where there are no open frequencies.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Simple Versitile

Pros: Works good from what I have used it over a couple of days. Seems to do it's job. Quality materials as well on both of them that I ordered. Haven't had time to test the rechargeable battery life yet so we'll see. It doesn't mention in the description (I don't think) but it has a rechargeable battery in it so it can run without being plugged in. Which in addition to using the universal usb port to charge, this thing is awesome.

Cons: Only have two issues:
First: no autoscan feature, which isn't a big deal because many, even expensive fm transmitters don't seem to have this.
Second: the 3.5mm end on the device has no extra length to it. so if you have a case, no matter how thin, it most likely won't work, this wasn't a problem for me because I used a couple of little extender cables I had previously picked up at the local electronics store which are built for cases that really obstruct the headphone jack. So I can't take an egg off for that but maybe 1/2 an egg?

Other Thoughts: Need a good quality FM transmitter at a good price? You found it.
