These have a much brighter light than the old tape. I actually didn't notice that it was waterproof until after I had placed my order. You have to remove the waterproof part to use most connectors available for this size of tape so I'm not sure what use the waterproof covering really is. The adhesive is the worst part of this tape. I found that the tape is too heavy for the adhesive. It won't hold the tape up under my cabinets. I ended up using a staple gun to staple through the tape in a spot where it wouldn't interfere with the electrical connection. I'm pleased with the final result but next time I will stick to the non-waterproof version. The waterproof cover can be pulled off but it wasn't worth the hassle. I suspect the thick clear cover is what makes it too heavy for the adhesive. Without the cover the adhesive would most likely be enough. Did you find this review helpful?
