From Teaology comes an incredible new line of tea accessories that make a bold statement. Made of durable, heat resistant, mouth-blown borosilicate glass of the finest quality, the Infuso is the perfect tea brewing set. Our design is popular with flower blossom tea such as chrysanthemum blooming tea. Borosilicate glass is stronger than common glass. It is shatter-resistant and resitant to high heat. It is the same glass used in making beakers, test tubes and other chemistry equipment. Avoid the aftertaste and flavor you get from plastic and metal kettles.

This set comes with our famous Azzurro teapot and a set of 4 Luna Teacups. The teapot comes with an included stainless steel tea infuser to make gourmet loose leaf tea. It can be used on gas, electric, and coil type stovetops. It is lead free glass. The double-walled design of each Luna glass insulates drinks at their ideal temperature and suspends drinks with a unique floating effect. The glass is condensation free and does not get hot to the touch when filled with hot beverages.

The glassware is dishwasher, microwave (excluding metal infusion parts) and freezer safe. Teapot measures 8" wide with handle and spout x 5.75" and 4.75" tall. 700ml/24oz volume. Each glass measures 2.5" wide and 1.5" tall and has a volume of 60ml.

4 out of 5 eggsSlight design flaw

Pros: This teapot is beautiful. It was the perfect gift for my wife. Came adequately packaged with sufficient cushioning for a fragile item.

Cons: There is a slight design flaw, noticed by several other users: The lid fits too tightly and runs the danger of breaking the teapot on either placing or removing the lid. I fixed this by trimming about 1/8 inch from the 3 metal tabs using a pair of tin snips, then using some needle nose pliers to curve the remaining shorter tabs a bit. The lid now fits snug, but not too tight.

Other Thoughts: As others have noted, the cups are quite small. This might be viewed as a pro or as a con, depending on your outlook. My wife and daughters all thought they were "cute." The teapot itself is also quite small, but this is fine as long as you're not planning on making a huge batch of tea.

1 out of 5 eggsDeceptive picture to hide the impracticality!

Pros: None for my purpose

Cons: There are many things that I dislike about this teapot set. Some of them didn't hit me until I started to use it for the first time.

The picture of the teapot set is pretty deceptive. For one, from the picture alone, the teapot looks a lot bigger when it was in front of me. The set didn't come with the cups that in the picture labeled "infuso". It came with the one that is in the picture labeled "luna". If you look carefully, it's 2 different shape. And also, it dawned on me as to why a picture of the teapot with little tea in it. Reason, it's to disguise/conceal how high the infusion chamber(the metal filter for the tea) is off from the bottom of the pot. It makes it totally useless and I will tell you why.

To give you a rough idea, it takes a large amount of water to even fill it up to the bottom of that chamber. So in order for the infuser to serve its purpose, you would have to fill it all the way up. But 2 problems appeared when you fill it all the way up. It dilute the tea so much that you can't taste any tea. Second, it makes it super hard to handle when pouring tea because of the weight of the full pot and that thin handle that it has. If you use a second hand to help support it,.....guess'll get burned if you touch anywhere other than the handle.

The next problem. The metal material used for the lid is extremely "not" heat resistance. Anytime I want to change the tea because it keeps getting diluted or if I want to add more water for the infuser to be useful, I get my finger burned just by touching that top. Lastly, good luck washing that thing. The pot feels so thin/fragile that it might crack during washing if you hit the side of your sink in a wrong way. All in all, it ranks up there with "My not so great buys" thus far.

3 out of 5 eggsFragile

Pros: Beautiful, nice and big.

Cons: Broke after about 7 months. After hand washing it, I left it in the drying rack and found it with a big crack later. I don't think I did anything particularly rough.

Other Thoughts: Much bigger than 24 ounces. Not sure how they are measuring. As with all glass teapots, very hard to keep clean.

3 out of 5 eggsDon't plan on using the cups

Pros: Easy to see when it's boiling so the missing whistle doesn't matter. I use the steeper in my cup and it is the best steeper I have had. Much better than the wire ones. It is stainless steel with I assume laser pierces all around it so very little 'grit' ends up in the cup. The pot works fine on my gas stovetop. I have accidentally boiled it dry several times and it still works fine.

Cons: The cups are useless. One, maybe 2 swallows and you would need to refill it. I drink tea from an average size coffee cup and it takes 10 of these cups to fill my real cup. If you expect a "cup" to hold an actual cup of tea you will be disappointed. 6 of these 'cups' = 1 cup of tea.

Other Thoughts: I wish they sold the steeper separate. I would gladly pay $10 for another one.

3 out of 5 eggsNice but not great

Pros: Pretty

Cons: Very thin, light weight, cups are extremely small, top does not fit if strainer removed

Other Thoughts: Overall pretty little teapot, but the cups are useless, extremely small. Great for kids to enjoy a sip of tea, but not for any real tea drinkers. The strainer was very tight upon arrival, like I thought the glass would break trying to remove it. I re-bent the restraining tabs to make a better, looser fit and it works great. The top on the strainer does not fit the glass pot, if you remove the strainer. You either have to keep the strainer in, and over brew your tea leaves, or take it out and have an open top so your tea gets cold. I guess your supposed to drink the entire pot immediately, but with the tiny glasses, you'll be pouring over and over and over...
