5 out of 5 eggsMicrosoft's Wired 600 keyboard

Pros: I was so happy to find these I bought two. One to replace a CM Storm wired board* and one to use on the bench. Once I got it working it is as good as I remembered.

It is not fancy. It is not feature rich. It is not designed for gaming. It just works.

*The CM Storm works okay, they just cannot see the key caps with the back lighting off so this is not a shot at that product.

Cons: This may be a quirk in that systems configuration and not this keyboards fault - or not.

Shut down the system and plugged in this keyboard. (Win 7 64 based system.) Powered up and it didn't recognize the keyboard. Tried other USB ports and still no keyboard. Eventually got into safe mode where it worked and was able to configure the system for it.

Other Thoughts: It is a full size board and that is nice.

Microsoft has two offerings at / near this price point. Go with this one the slightly more expensive one.

This is a no frills wired keyboard at an appropriate price point -- read average. It works as advertised; as it is supposed to.

Ordered them the evening of 5/26/14 and received it the afternoon of 5/30/14. Thank you NewEgg on time as always.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat keyboard

Pros: -Low profile. It sounds unnecessary, but the height of the keys makes this keyboard an absolute joy to use. It's just pure comfort, similar to typing on a macbook's keyboard.
-Key shape. It may be difficult to see in the pictures, but the CTRL, ALT, space, and other keys along the bottom row are slanted back at an angle to increase comfort when being pressed. This makes ALL the difference, and it's such a little design feature that it mostly goes unnoticed. But it really helps the ergonomic comfort of your hands and fingers!
-Capslock key. It is regular size, but as you can see from the photo, is indented slightly to the top left, to allow a space for your pinky to rest on the A key without also hitting the Caps key. This is a great tiny feature and it helped me align my fingers without having to glance, ever.

Cons: Difficult to clean, I guess. There ought to be an opening between the base and the top shell so I can open the keyboard like a toaster and pitch all the crumbs n stuff out.
It doesn't look fancy?

Other Thoughts: You can't go wrong for $20. I just got a Sidewinder X4, and will be writing a review for it soon, but this keyboard served me quite well and it deserves a proper send-off.

5 out of 5 eggsA great solid keyboard.

Pros: The is a solid keyboard if you're not looking for anything fancy. It has media keys for quick navigation of music.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Over all just a great keyboard if you're not interesting in buying a gaming keyboard. It works fine and can be bought if you're trying to shave off some bucks off the keyboard section of things.

3 out of 5 eggs2 key limit

Pros: overall i liked it would be good for light office web/e-mail use

Cons: cant use more than 2 keys at the same time in games like foward, turn and boost/sprint as for my setup.

Other Thoughts: this is the 3ed keyboard i bought that is like this in the under $20 market now my old logitec dont have this issue but it now has typing errors but all works in games got an old HP keyboard from my sis. and it works fine no issues . but it seems that the ones i bought the last month dont . i guess if you want a keyboard that does it all you got to go to the mid to high end. i have never had this issue before and over the last 2 years most things i been getting have kinda fell short pay more get hosed.

2 out of 5 eggsmore junk

Pros: used it for 30mim. dont know outher than it fits in the trash can well, but i did think it had a nice feel for me.

Cons: cant use more than 2 keys at once

Other Thoughts: do not buy this for amy game that you would need to use more than 2 keys at the same time [foward, turn and sprint/boost] wount do it you'll eather have to come off one of the keys to do an action. this is getting to be a common thing with the past few keyboards i have got. got this to replace an old logitec that has typing errors but still works 100% as it should in games i do not recomend this keyboard for anything outher than typing . sure seems like for the past few years things have become cheap flimsy low end junk and cost more .

5 out of 5 eggsGreat keyboard

Pros: Quiet, volume control keys, calculator key, sophisticated appearance

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Love this keyboard. Used to be on the ergonomic, hands-separated bandwagon, then went to the super-slim laptop-style keyboard, and I've now I'm preferring this keyboard. It has a great combination of a slim style but with the key response of a bigger keyboard, and I'm able to type very quickly on it. I actually used this keyboard at my work for the last 2 years before deciding to buy one for my home computer. Great keyboard at a great price.

4 out of 5 eggsNice keyboard

Pros: -Soft keys (quiet typing)
-Nice layout
-Ergonomic
-Has a calculator button!
-USB
-Made by Microsoft?

Cons: -Made by Microsoft?

Other Thoughts: I was looking for a low profile keyboard for home so I can fit my mouse and keyboard together. This ran slightly over the edge. It is still a very nice keyboard, although I prefer the clicky keys and smaller profile size of the Rosewill 1101. Can't really complain, after all it is just a keyboard and for its price it does what it should.
The soft typing flows smoothly across your wrists/fingers and really does provide a nice experience.
