5 out of 5 eggsWorked without a hitch in a Dell Inspiron

Pros: Easy to install and worked first time without any difficulty. Great prices for 16GB!

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: This was an easy upgrade and I would recommend it to others.

5 out of 5 eggsCrucial is generally no issues

Pros: Crucial makes solid ram. Plain green sticks no leds and 3" tall heatsinks, but these things work well and I had no issues installing them. Typical Crucial quality and compatibility.

Cons: -

Other Thoughts: Been using Crucial for many years when upgrading standard office pc's, and never had a single compatibility issue, nor have a stick die on me.

5 out of 5 eggs Dependable RAM

Pros: Stable, no memory error messages or BSODs.

Cons: None, they work as advertised.

Other Thoughts: I wasn't looking for anything fancy, just stable DDR3 1600 RAM at a good price. That's exactly what I got.

5 out of 5 eggsWorked for me

Pros: Shows up a at rated speeds and timings without xmp. Passed an hour memtest+ all good.

Cons: None I didn't know of.

Other Thoughts: Used this with an ECS B85H3-M3 micro atx board and an I3-4160 and it works great. Went into my bios and it was already running at rated speed and timing.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent

Pros: Runs at advertised speeds (no XMP required) in HP workstations.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I have deployed around 100 of these modules in HP Z220 and Z230 workstations (4x8GB per CAD machine) over the last two years. All have worked flawlessly with no failures or DOA. Significantly less expensive alternative to HP branded memory.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat product

Pros: Runs great at DDR3 1600 out of the box without changing any settings (FYI, some systems show as 800MHz in Windows task manager.) Ordered 32 GB to run VMs with, never had any issues with this ram. Would recommend it to anyone looking for large amounts of ram. Most motherboards don't go higher than 1600MHz when you use all four DIMMs anyway.

Cons: Nothing really. Ram is not cheap right now, but that is neither here nor there.

Other Thoughts: Bought one of these about a year ago, loved it for a year, and decided to buy another kit when it went on sale. The new kit has a little Samsung logo on the sticker, thought that was interesting. Also, a thought on the ram "not reaching 1600MHz." I freaked out a little at first too but I found out with some systems memory speeds will appear as approximately half in Windows task manager. For example, if I put DDR3 1333 in my mobo, it shows up as 667 MHz in Windows task manager, which is half of 1333. I don't know why, it just is. If you can explain that to me, send me a tweet!

5 out of 5 eggsCrucial

Pros: Lifetime Warranty

Cons: Had a few more failures in the last year than ever before
Just got off the phone with one of their reps and they are claiming their failure rate has not increased

Other Thoughts: Same memory is less expensive here than on their site

4 out of 5 eggsBSOD free

Pros: Cheap, large, everything I need it to be.

Cons: Couldn't get 1600 out of it, no changes or settings get that speed at all, and anything above 800 crashes instantly. it runs stable at 800 though. Minus two eggs for not advertised speed, but I'll give it one back incase it is actually the MB causing the issue. For info on latencies see the other thoughts section.

Doesn't come with a heat sink, but the temps are acceptable so I don't really care.

Had some BSOD issues the first week in a new build, but I was never able to track it down to exactly what was causing the error. Put the thing back together and haven't had the problem since.

Other Thoughts: Not the fastest I could find, but in an office computer, it works fine.

Here is some info straight from Speccy:

Memory
Type DDR3
Size 16384 MBytes
Channels # Dual
DRAM Frequency 798.2 MHz
CAS# Latency (CL) 11 clocks
RAS# to CAS# Delay (tRCD) 11 clocks
RAS# Precharge (tRP) 11 clocks
Cycle Time (tRAS) 28 clocks
Command Rate (CR) 1T
