True to the Krups tradition of precision-quality gourmet appliances, this 12-cup programmable coffee maker features DuoFilter water filtration to remove chlorine and mineral tastes from the water, so you’re left with nothing to taste but rich, delicious coffee. The programmable clock lets you wake up to steaming, fresh coffee every morning, and will shut the unit off in 1-5 hours, so you never come home to a scorched, empty pot! The machine will automatically shut off if it detects that the 60-ounce water reservoir is empty during brewing.

Thanks to Krups’ cascading brew head and flavor control switch, you can select your perfect brew, and the machine will extract every nuance of flavor from your premium coffee. An audible signal lets you know when your coffee is ready, but for those mornings when you just can’t wait, there’s also a pause and serve feature. The machine tracks its total brewing time in service, and lets you know when it’s time to de-scale. Perfect coffee made easy!

There is a delicate flap where the coffee comes out of the machine and into the pot, with a cheap spring. The spring doesn't work. Buy another model. Other Thoughts: Krups used to mean quality. Other Thoughts: I am what you call an average coffee drinker. I love this coffee maker.
