Pros: Bright, no noticeable delay to light after switching on, low power consumption

Cons: Doesn't dim enough (at least with my 10-year-old designed-for-incandescents dimmer)

Other Thoughts: The most striking feature for this lamp for me is instant-on to full brightness. The CFL that this lamp is replacing came on instantly but at only half brightness and stayed there for about 20 seconds before ramping up to full brightness at about 30 seconds.

While I won't be dimming this one, I did test it in a dimmable socket. Light output decreased smoothly but at the dimmer's minimum it was still maybe 60% of full brightness. New dimmers are supposed to be more LED-friendly so maybe results would be different with one of those. I'll be testing out some new dimmers with this lamp before assigning it to non-dimmed-only duty.

Pros: These bulbs are really bright, even brighter than the CFL and incandescent versions, yet use less power. Nice color hue too

5 out of 5 eggsBright

Pros: Very bright, even brighter than the 65w incandescents. The hue is good too. They have a very even light compared to CFL flood lamp styles (also brighter than the CFLs).

Cons: A little expensive compared to other LED shapes

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent light color and intensity

Pros: Good price on sale.
Lives up to the equivalent incandescent light output.
Perfect match for incandescent color.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: If these lamps go the distance (and it will take YEARS to find out for sure), they will be one of my best purchases. Low power consumption, low heat output, just as bright as the 65W flood they replaced and they come on instantly (unlike the CFL replacement for the incandescent flood).

1 out of 5 eggsTerrible product, worse company

Pros: None

Cons: High rate of defect, low quality.

Other Thoughts: I bought two of these bulbs two months ago to see if it was worth investing in them. It is not. One bulb has already failed, and the other arrived defective. Worse yet, the warranty promised when you purchase them? Impossible to obtain. I've tried to contact the company on Newegg (through the communication system), on their website, and through email, and have gotten no response. These bulbs are bad: they won't last a year, let alone the 22 years promised, and the warranty is a facade. Buy another product.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat light

Pros: Bright, starts up fast when cold (below 0F for the outdoor fixtures), low power consumption.

Cons: h

Other Thoughts: They are not cheap, but should pay for themselves with energy savings vs incandescent, but without the slow start up of CFLs.

They are brighter than the 75W incandescent bulbs that I was using in my recessed fixtures inside.

5 out of 5 eggsVERY HAPPY

Pros: I cannot speak for Longevity yet, so I am not addressin ghat. Blows away the price in both the MEMEBERSHIP Stores. I import Grow Lights and even the manufactures, and these are as well will not give me close to these prices with what, free shipping. BRIGHT. I replaced 8 inceiling 65W normal and CFLs and these lights light the room by 30% more, unscientific guess. You will not go wrong

Cons: None, although GE warrants for 8 years, this warranty is much less.

Other Thoughts: Chinese Production, but sold in a US warehouse in the USA, so shipping is much faster

5 out of 5 eggsVery Pleased

Pros: About the price locally at Sam's for GE for a dollar more, but no tax, free shipping, it was well worth it and if they hold up for at least a month or two, as being in the LED Grow Light Biz, they break quick or last a good while

Cons: None
