TECMO brings back all of your favorite Dead or Alive girls for a break from a rigorous skull-bashing, back-breaking schedule for a little fun-in-the-sun and a game or two of volleyball. This time it’s all about popularity and barely-there clothing. The DOA girls must attempt to win the hearts of the other girls along with some cash for that new wardrobe. But it just wouldn’t be DOA without a little bit of competition thrown in the mix.

Choose your character and head out to the court for a little 2 on 2. Or mix it up racing jet skis at the marina or playing poker in the casino. Immerse yourself in the graphics of the oh-so-slippery waterslide, the bouncing beach flag race, or the tantalizing tug-of-war. Or just enjoy gratuitous pool-hopping scenes as you chat with the other girls. Don’t forget to save up your dough so you can purchase even more revealing suits.

Return to the island and enjoy resort vacation activities with your favorite curvaceous cyber cuties, compliments of DOA and Team Ninja.

5 out of 5 eggsYou just don't get it

Pros: This game isn't meant to be groundbreaking, it's not meant to win awards for it's storyline. This is a game for what the Japanese call "fan service." That's all it is. If you can't accept it based on that alone, then you shouldn't buy it, play it, or have an opinion about it. The game has really gorgeous graphics (the water is absolutely amazing) and it's a mindless game for boredom (and of course seeing pixelated T&A). If you're a fan of the DOA series, then this little show of fan appreciation is excellent. If not, move along and quit your griping.

Cons: Only on Xbox 360. The worst console since the dreamcast... err, wii, I mean.

Other Thoughts: Kasumi roxxors your soxxors.

5 out of 5 eggsKids Love It

Pros: My daughter and nieces love the DOA games.

Cons: I have to hear them talk about how pretty the bathing suits are.

4 out of 5 eggsIt's MEANT to be eye candy!

Pros: It's everything it's meant to be: The hot DOA girls doing pretty much anything they can do while in a bikini.

Cons: Little to no replay value. It's one of those "time killer" games. Very gender oriented. Doubt any straight girls would be even remotely interested in playing it unless they're the kind of girl who likes teasing her boyfriend about how the girls in the game look.

Other Thoughts: Stop knocking it for being what it's meant to be. Guys who either have no girlfriend or just want to pass the time with something off-beat for the typical game will at least find this enjoyable. I only rented it just to see what they did different. Added a lot compared to the first game but took single system multi-player away. Same is true of a lot of XBox 360 games. Very few are being made to support local multi-player and that's something to consider in general even planning on buying one now.

2 out of 5 eggsWell, it's pretty

Pros: Disappointed.

That pretty much sums up my feelings about this game.

I don't usually write reviews, but I felt I had to say my bit on this title.

It is a very pretty game. I'll give it that, but little else.

DOAX2 = DOAX1 + better graphics + novelty features - in person multiplayer - some reason to play the game

Let's see... we have the new eye candy mini games.
Neato if you love button mashing madness.

We have the new Jet Ski race.
Big yay there. It's an entertaining diversion, but nothing overly special. Got old for me quick.

The new casino games are ok. I spent more time playing in the casino than anything else.

We have ONLINE multiplayer now! Woo Hoo! Now you don't have to worry about making real friends and inviting them over! You can just play with whatever random person is out there on the net.

Cons: We have online multiplayer at the expense of the offline two player game. That pretty much kills the game for me. One of the biggest components of this game and the previous title is going about gathering all of the bathing suits and other goodies for the various characters in the game.

With the old game, whenever a friend came over to play a two player volley ball match, you could show off the various outfits you had acquired, make inappropriate comments about the ladies, whine about losing because of the control scheme, and enjoy your company in general.

With the DOAX2, there is no offline multiplayer game. No local two player mode. I guess the people who made this game figured that the players who would play it didn't get out enough to know any people in person, and those they did know they only talked to over a crackling headset.

Other Thoughts: Well, that wasn't the case with me and my friends. Between rounds of Halo and Soul Calibur we'd pop in DOAX1 for a change of pace and everyone liked it. That was the part of the game I really liked: The social aspect.

That made me want to collect all the different outfits and items so I could show them off, and hear my buds comment on them. It gave me a reason keep playing the single player mode (which in no way had an elaborate storyline). And I enjoyed it. I really did.

DOAX1 was a gem. And while DOAX2 has a pretty face, there is nothing shining behind the eyes.

All in all, even with the online bit, you are still alone, just playing with yourself.

1 out of 5 eggsThis game is HORRIBLE

Pros: Actually I couldnt find even one redeeming point for it.

Cons: The entire game is a CON. You rarely SEE the characters much, other than a static picture of their face. There isnt really any "point" to the game. Just a few (I repeat FEW) mini games and none of them are even decent. You almost never see a character, just static images. Very Very bad game. Hope you like slot machines and black jack, becuase that is about it to do.

Other Thoughts: You may think I dont like this game becuase of the obvious "skin" aspect. I assure you that is really the biggest reason I picked it up, or rented it rather. But you dont really DO anything in this game. The mini games are so short and so few between that you rarely even see your character...or anyone else. You will spend 90minutes of your time at the casino...trying to get money to play a minigame for exactly 2 minutes. Lather, rinse, repeat...ad naseum. Worst 360 game EVER.
