5 out of 5 eggsMonkeys go Bananas

Pros: Great collection of mini-games. Lots of fun for one player, two players, and more.

Great graphics, sounds and collection. Lots of people mistakenly compare this to Mario Party 8 - but you really can't - why? Different characters, and different storylines. These are monkeys and only monkeys. As such you get to run them through all sorts of different mini-games. Most are lots of fun - get it, you'll enjoy it - but do so with an open mind, and by all means - don't compare it to Nintendo's mini-game collections.

Cons: Out of the 50 plus mini-games, sure there are a few, relatively few losers. But don't let that stop you from buying this fun collection.

Other Thoughts: I haven't the foggiest idea of why so many people refused to buy this wonderful product. This is a great collection of mini-games. But I guess if you have Mario Party 8, you are going to compare it to that, and I know you'd want to play the Nintendo games more often then this one.

2 out of 5 eggsAnnoying games - not for parties

Pros: There are a lot of minigames. There are a lot of monkeys.

Cons: I found the overall quality, balance, and fun factor of the games to put off myself and just about anyone I've played with at parties. There are a lot of much better 2-4 player games out there. After getting a few more games, this one is collecting dust.

Other Thoughts: The minigames in mario party completely blow these out of the water.

2 out of 5 eggsLost the charm of its predecessors

Pros: The Wii tilt controls were done well, this is just the type of thing the Wii remote was meant for.

Cons: I was a huge fan of the first couple Monkey Ball games, and played them for many, many hours. This game had me bored in only a few hours. By adding enemies, adding bosses, adding the ability to jump, and focusing more on quantity of mini-games than quality, the game lost the simplicity and charm that made the first iterations so enjoyable.

Other Thoughts: There are a lot of mini games here - and they range from okay to terrible. Somehow they even ruined Monkey Target, a staple mini-game and the best of its predecessors.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Buy - Party/Group game

Pros: Single Player
- Good old school arcade game
- Addictive and fun single player game.
- Lot of fun to watch another person play
Multi Player - 50 Games included
- Many of them are great
- Lots of variety, so I think something for everyone.. and likely more than a few

Cons: Multi Player
- Not all 50 are great, but honestly isn't that to be expected?

Other Thoughts: Overall, I think the multi player games are the best, and that's why I call it a good party/group game. It's a lot of fun to play with friends, and everyone gets a good laugh. The single player one is good enough to enjoy as a good basic arcade type game.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Game for Multiplayer

Pros: Some of the multiplayer games are really incredibly fun.

Cons: A couple of the multiplayer games are really incredibly lame.

Other Thoughts: Overall a good game. The single player is fun, but grows old quick. The multiplayer is the real reason to buy this game... with a few exceptions, the multiplayer mini-games are great fun.

3 out of 5 eggsFun and challenging

Pros: Both the single player and multi-player modes are fun. Friends and family liked the party games.

Cons: Some of the party games are great fun, but some are quite frustrating. It took us a while to figure out which games we REALLY liked.

Other Thoughts: In single-player mode, try holding the controller with both hands right in front of your chest. Like you'd hold a sandwich. It really helps to maintain control.
