5 out of 5 eggsFFCC Crystal Bearers - Excellent!

Pros: Crystal Bearers is an excellent adventure title on the Wii, and features some of the most beautiful visuals you'll see on the system. The gameplay is based on the Wii's motion controls which you'll use to manipulate gravity with. Excellent voice acting, strong visuals, and quality gameplay make this an excellent title, and a worth edition to the Crystal Chronicles story.

Cons: The camera angling takes some getting used to, but once you get the hang of it, you won't even think about it.

Other Thoughts: This seems like either a love or hate game based on widely different reviews. I feel that if you have any interest in this game, you'll be doing yourself a great dissatisfaction if you don't give it a shot as it is a very enjoyable title for the Wii.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent game, gamers must be blind.

Pros: This is an excellent game. Why? Because it has all the elements an Adventure game can ask for. If you're looking at this game for RPG elements when the box and Square Enix clearly stated this is an Adventure, you will be horribly disappointed. Great voice acting and the gameplay is smooth. I can see why this was centered only for the Wii as it focuses much around the Wii Remote.

Cons: Short if you go straight through, but collecting and side missions and all can take a long time. But I'm playing this taking my own time, not like all the straight through basement virgins do on video games and have no outside life.

Other Thoughts: Great Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles game. Story fits perfectly. If you want a Metroid or Zelda type feel for Adventure, this is your game to pick up and the price tag is totally worth it. This game does have replay value.

1 out of 5 eggsCrystal Bearer!

Pros: Innovative interface, the graphics are above-par for Wii.

Cons: Terrible control scheme, no RPG elements to speak of. 3 equipment slots are very limiting. Time limit for battles seems short when you have to run across maps to fight more than one group of hostiles. Gameplay very linear and constricting, side-missions totally lacking. Plot is stale and characters are very one-dimensional, and not at all motivated to their actions. Game seems thrown together at the last second to catch the holiday shopper crowd.

Other Thoughts: Poorly done, miscategorized, lacking in weaponry/equipment/leveling aspects of Role-Playing-Games. All in all, quite a disappointment. Not the worst Final Fantasy labeling (Chocobo Tales for DS, or Mystic Quest / Final Fantasy America for SNES/Super Famicom, anyone?), but definitely up there in the bad spinoffs list. Square-Enix seems to be turning into a spinoff treadmill, and that's a big disappointment to old-school gamers like myself who've remained loyal to the FF series.

1 out of 5 eggsFinal Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Crystal Bearers

Pros: It plays!

Cons: Short, only took 1 day to play all the way through.

Absolutely no weapons. You only shake the controller.

Way too high priced for what you are getting.

Other Thoughts: The worst Final Fantasy game ever put out.
