New and Improved

Since 1997, the Klipsch Synergy Series has been referred to as the world’s best value in high-performance entertainment. With the latest Synergy speakers, you’ll find new high frequency components, a new network structure, updated voicing and a more subdued look that blends in seamlessly with today’s living environments.

Four Laws of the Klipsch Universe

Beginning in 1946, company founder, Paul W. Klipsch believed four principles to be the foundation for great sound. Together, these four design principles — high efficiency with low distortion, controlled directivity, flat frequency response, and wide dynamic range — have and always will be the foundation for our stunningly powerful and precise sound.

  • Every Synergy speaker utilizes our Tractrix® Horn technology for lifelike sound, more output using less energy, improved reliability, reduced distortion and a large soundstage with well-defined imaging.
  • Aluminum tweeter with linear travel suspension allows the high-frequency driver to move back and forth in a seamless motion, creating less distortion and detailed highs.

4 out of 5 eggsklipsch c20

Pros: Well not that I have had it very long. But I can tell the difference of my c10 that I had. I had bought the c10 not being satisfied with my current center. I was never happy with the c10. I found it hallow sounding and speech was low. I upgraded my towers to a pair of f20s. I had to have them so low as when a movie or show had a lot of effects it was hard to hear center. So picked up the c20. Have watched one movie. And that was the sound I had hoped for from c10.

Cons: Was a little larger than expected had trouble getting it on stand with tv.

Other Thoughts: It sounds awesome very apply with purchase. And side note received it less than 26 hours after purchase. New egg

5 out of 5 eggsGreat sound!

Pros: Its a center channel speaker that can deliver the goods.

Cons: Took a little longer than I thought it would to find a good placement since this speaker was twice the size as my old center channel

Other Thoughts: Just buy it there is nothing wrong with this center channel speaker

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome!

Pros: Crystal clear. Matches perfectly with the whole F-30 system.

Cons: Was a bit Smaller then i was hoping for as the center for the F-30 surround system. No fault of the speaker and definitely not worth taking a star off for it makes up for it.

Other Thoughts: Went from a very large Paradigm center to this rather small c-20. First thought "I made a mistake" as i was taking it out of the box. That thought quickly went away once i started setting up my 7.1 surround. Matches wonderfully with the F-30 fronts. Sounds float across the front sound stage with out a flaw. Take some time, run your room correction program. Then bust out a spl meter and the measuring tape and tweak the program. Theres a reason the F-30 surround system with this center channel gets ratings of 9+ out of 10.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat after break-in

Pros: Great sound. Matches beautifully with my F-20s. Plenty loud.
Aesthetically pleasing (once you get used to it.)
Large size. This might seem like a flaw to some, but it would look silly next to the F-20s if it was any smaller.

Cons: Long break-in period. I usually don't buy the whole "It's gonna take a while to break in" stuff, but with my C-20, it was true. For the first month or so, I seriously considered sending it back. It didn't match my (already broken-in) F-20s at all. It stood out like a sore thumb when sounds moved across the front sound field. After about a month, something happened, and it sounds great now. The sound field is contiguous, instead of broken, and dialogue is crisp and defined.

Other Thoughts: If you have any of the F-series fronts, you owe it to yourself to pick up this speaker as the center channel. After the break in period, you won't be disappointed.

5 out of 5 eggsClear, crisp sound! Unbeatable Price!

Pros: First off, the price research that I did on these speakers before i purchased them from was extensive! I guess you can call it 'cheap', but I hate the feeling I have after a purchase and find a better price somewhere else! After a week plus of surfing the internet for prices, I could not find a better price than Newegg's price of $129.00 plus FREE S/H on 1/08/14!! I like cheap prices but I will NOT sacrifice quality for price! This speaker fits the mold perfectly!

Prior to this purchase I was running a 5.1 setup with a some of older JBL speakers that I had purchased new around 2001. The center JBL speaker started cracking. The research started. I was going to just replace the center speaker but after being so impressed with the quality of sound at both low and higher volumes we decided to replace the entire speaker setup. We have decided on the Klipsch Synergy line and have also purchased F-30's for the front and S-10's for the rear. The difference in sound is night and day! I would not hesitate in purchasing any of the Klipsch line of speakers. I am sold and shall look to Klipsch for all of my audio upgrades in the future and Newegg will be my first stop to check and compare prices!

I could't help but be impressed by all the 4 and 5 star reviews for the Klipsch brand of speakers! How can that many people be wrong? It is rare that I write reviews. I was so impressed with the sound quality of Klipsch speakers that I couldn't resist putting in my two cents worth of praise!

Cons: I have read and have to agree with the design of the enclosure for the C-20 speaker. I would have preferred a speaker with straight lines instead of the "bubble" design on top. Its not that is unattractive, just makes for an odd ball shape in my rectangular design of the entertainment system. I plan on purchasing some of the fabric that covers the front of the speaker and covering the hole up in my entertainment center that the speaker sits in.

5 out of 5 eggsKeeper!

Pros: Crisp and clear dialogues. Able to handle oomph and bass which is essential for an awesome home theater. Conversations and sound effects are more distinct and discernible on higher volumes with no distortions from my own personal experience.

Even experimented setting the center channel size on small, amp crossed over to 80 and seemingly, for my taste and preference, it's better for it to be otherwise left on large because of its sonic capabilities.

Cons: Not a perfect timbre match with the Synergy F-30. I was wishing that Klipsch came out with a C-30 or a C-40 even, lol. Its not a fault to the C-20's though as capable and fantastic as they are. The F-30's are just so efficient and loud, especially the highs and it will drown the center channel if not adjusted properly. I have to tone down the front levels a couple of notches which solved the problem down right sweet. Mind you the F-30's are about 15 feet apart, aimed and triangulated to my favorite sweet spot, along with the C-20, also angled along with the pair of S-10's, and its affordable bliss.

Other Thoughts: Who am I to question Klipsch for not making a center channel a step above this one? It is known that the most important speaker of a home theater is the center so in case you have a couple of F-30's of the Synergy line, you might want to consider an RC-62II to go along with it. In my case though, a couple of notches down the amp settings for the left and right mains, saved me quite a few bucks in my pocket to keep and still love this C-20!

4 out of 5 eggsExcellent Sound

Pros: They are timbre matched with the B20s and F20s. I initially had the C20 and two B20s as my front speakers until I could find a good deal on the F20s, at which time the B20s became my surrounds. They all sound excellent together.

Cons: Compared to the F20s, the mids sound slightly more hollow. The finish is a plain black compared to the rest of the 20 series that has a black wood texture.

Pros: I haven't even broken them in yet and they sound awesome!

Cons: None. Even if I was rich I wouldn't buy a more expensive speaker. Anything else is over kill. This is all you need.
