4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Affordable and simple headphone jack mic makes this pretty decent. We use this on Teamspeak with Noise activation since this + a $15 of headphones I already have seemed to be a better deal than buying a headset which would probably break.

Cons: It does pick up the rest of the room sound. For some people this could be a plus, but most applications it's annoying. I listen to this mic a lot and haven't noticed any issues other than the background noise coming through.

Other Thoughts: I don't know if it's prone to background noise, like I said I hear it in bursts and it's been fine.

4 out of 5 eggsDecent mic for the price

Pros: Affordable and simple headphone jack mic makes this pretty decent. We use this on Teamspeak with Push To talk since this + a $15 of headphones I already have seemed to be a better deal than buying a headset which would probably break.

Cons: It does pick up the rest of the room sound. For some people this could be a plus, but most applications it's annoying. I listen to this mic a lot and haven't noticed any issues other than the background noise coming through.

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Cheap.

Cons: Low quality sound, and even when using the microphone boost, I still need to speak within 6 inches of the microphone for my voice to come through as anything other than a whisper.

1 out of 5 eggsGenius Mic-01A

Pros: Omni-directional

Cons: Does not pick my voice unless im holding it to my mouth, and the voice quality is barely intelligible. I've tried configuring it and nothing works.

Other Thoughts: I feel as though I've wasted money on this product. Can anyone help me with it, in case I'm missing something? I want to be able to put it at least a foot away from my voice.

1 out of 5 eggsMic came not working

Pros: Small

Cons: I just got the mic today and plugged it in. It had alot of static when I plugged it in, but now it won't pick up my voice or any sound, its completely silent except when I unplug and plug it in.

1 out of 5 eggsSave yourself the hassle...

Pros: It's black and came with an adjustable stand.

Cons: Being a desktop microphone, one would assume that you would be able to place it within about a foot or two of the user, point it towards the sound of their voice and it should work just fine. But the unfortunate truth is that the mic worked but only if it was in your mouth. No, that's not a joke at all; it would simply not pick up my voice unless the thing was between my lips or I was shouting. On top of that, the cord was short. The sound quality was just like the physical quality; garbage.

Other Thoughts: You get what you pay for. I made the mistake when I figured I would get a cheaply built product that worked somewhat decently and would last at least a couple months before it just died. Too bad I only had it for 2 days before I RMA'd it for product dissatisfaction. And the only reason I RMA'd it was because I have Premier and I get free return shipping and no restock fee. Otherwise, I would have thrown it in the trash. Some final words of advice; If you have the sudden urge to spend $8 on this piece of junk, do yourself a favor and light the bills on fire. You'll have more satisfaction watching flames than you will using this so called "microphone."

1 out of 5 eggsCame broken.

Pros: None

Cons: Slow shipping, came broken. Plugged it in, had to have it practivally inside of my mouth to even show one bar of voice coming out of it when trying to configure it.

Other Thoughts: I'm annoyed this took 10 days to get to me and once it did, it didn't work.
