The New Super Mario Bros. Wii is a Classic Mario Adventure that Everyone Can Enjoy at the Same Time! In honor of Princess Peach's birthday, a suspiciously large (though deliciously frosted) cake was delivered to her castle. Then, in the middle of the festivities, the evil Koopalings leaped out of the cake and kidnapped the princess! Now, it's up to Mario and his friends to hop and stomp through the Mushroom Kingdom, defeat the Koopalings, and save Princess Peach. An all new side scrolling adventure is here... and this time, you can bring friends! Players can take the game on alone or, for the first time ever, up to four friends can team up to power through levels packed with bottomless pits, blasting cannons, slippery ice, and tumbling platforms. With four players charging through the chaos, levels never play the same way twice! Power up your game with all new items! There aren't always enough powerups for everyone, though, so things may get competitive luckily, you can shake the Wii Remote controller to pick up your friends, and then it's up to you if you want to carry them over a pit or throw them into it! Run, hop, and stomp through eight all-new worlds packed with more enemies, secret routes, and surprises! As you explore deep caves, swim Blooper-infested seas, and leap over both lava and ice, you'll need all the help you can get even if you're playing the adventure alone. Whether you're carrying a glowing block used to illuminate a pitchblack tunnel or riding a Yoshi eager to eat anything and everything, you'd better bring your best platforming skills...and if that fails, bring your friends!

5 out of 5 eggsTimeless and Classic, all new fun!

Pros: I've been waiting for a long time to be able to play a new mario game in the style of the original side-scrolling days of yore. Being able to play with up to 4 players at the same time makes multi-player awesome, but the stages are designed in such a way to be equally challenging playing alone or with friends but I would say it is easiest to play through with 2players total, so if you want a challenge play solo or with 3-4.

This game, like the original marios, is easy to learn and difficult to master. The collectable coins strewn throughout the levels give reason to replay levels to unlock more but even without that this game has high replay value.

I play this title by myself mostly, but also with my skilled gaming buddies as well as my young nieces and nephews (which greatly increases difficulty, but I love challenges!) so this is a game that finally the whole family can enjoy.

Cons: No online play.

Other Thoughts: Another title that Nintendo did not give online support to, would have been nice though.

2 out of 5 eggsLike the Titanic

Pros: Worked flawless for the first month

Cons: Went to turn my system on today and it would not come on. Just saw a flashing green light on my Mb. I swapped out the PSU and everything worked great again.

Other Thoughts: I only run a 580gtx with 1 sdd. I thought this power supply would be enough

4 out of 5 eggsGreat game for newer fans of the series. Okay game for seasoned veterans of the franchise.

Pros: The new items introduced are fun, along with the other items introduced in the first New Super Mario Bros. game.
Yoshi's in this game. 'Nuff said.
Great level design, as usual.
The Koopalings from Super Mario Bros. 3 have returned.
The lack of the ability to save whenever is balanced with the fact that there are 3 save files.
Interactive overworld map.
Controls are easy to pick up and learn, but can be difficult to master.
For newcomers, the hints you can get with your star coins are great for helping them discover secrets.

Cons: The Blue Koopa shell from the original is not here (and the penguin suit is nowhere near as satisfying). (personal gripe)
Co-op players can really get in the way of each other, especially with radically different skill levels.
A bit too easy, until the last level and some of the special world levels.
For veterans, the hint movies can feel like the game wants to hold your hand while you play, but are still optional.

Other Thoughts: Overall, a good game. While it didn't bring much to the franchise, it did brong back old characters that had been forgotten for several years.
For a veteran of the Mario franchise (like myself) the game shouldn't prove to be too difficult until near the very end and on the special stages... Unless you want to get all of the Star Coins. The star coins are by-far the hardest part of this game, and while the majority of them were fun and interesting to find, there's a certain special world level where I felt getting them was borderline sadism.
For an average casual gamer, the game will likely prove to be more challenging and more frustrating, if you let it get to you.
For the co-op, make sure you are playing with someone who is close to your skill level, otherwise, it proves to make the game unenjoyable.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: I love that you can play with more than one person. The levels are beautiful, and fun to look at. A classic Mario experience.

Cons: It is a little difficult, but it makes it a more of a challenge.

Other Thoughts: Even though its fun! I really suck at it and it ends up making my wife mad lol but its all good.

5 out of 5 eggsBest Game for Wii Ever

Pros: Mario Brothers Wii is a great game, I love the fact you can play with 4 players and *bubble* when you get into trouble. Also loving the fact of half way marks and quick saves where the old game you had to leave your console on for weeks...

Cons: Price, although Newegg has the best price for this currently, this game has been out for over 2 years, Nintendo stop being greedy and drop the price.

2 out of 5 eggsFYI

Pros: graphics are really good
sound track and sound effects are good
NEW video mode lets you see how to beat a level and save your progress after

Cons: controls are not responsive all the time or the game makes you do things you didn't hit the button for.
the game is way to difficult!
game has nothing really new in it besides the controls that are really bad.

Other Thoughts: well I don't know about you but I was not really impressed with this game at all. it looks like they took stuff from mario world, maro 1,2 and 3 changed things around made it harder and added a extra world that's a pain to get in to and play.
I rented this game to see if it was worth getting and I can say this much......ill pass. btw the ending was funny
