1 out of 5 eggsAndroid Phone Issues

Pros: Good Price, Usually good quality from Kingston.

Cons: Purchased this just over a year ago for use in my Samsung Galaxy S2 phone. After 4 months phone was having issues reading data on flash card requiring a reformat and having to install data again. Happened again 2 months later. Now card is not readable by phone or any other device. Have read many other reviews of problems with Kingston flash cards on Android devices.

Other Thoughts: Obviously there is a problem using these flash cards with android devices as Kingston has "a fix" on the current version of card that addresses the android issues.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello Artee,
I'm Jewel with Kingston Technical Support. We apologize for the issue that occurred with the microSDHC card. There was an issue discovered between Android 4.0+ and microSDHC cards. This issue was resolved August 2013 and cards currently purchased should not be affected. We stand by our products and can replace your microSDHC card under warranty with a new card. Please call us at 1-800-435-0640 (USA and Canada only) M - F 6am - 6pm PT and I or another available Technician will assist you.

Thank you for selecting Kingston as your upgrade partner.

1 out of 5 eggsPoor Quality

Pros: Cheap Price

Cons: I purchased this for my Galaxy sII I thought the price was amazing and based on the other reviews i couldn't lose. I have never had a card corrupt data as much as this. I would say 10% of the photos I take are corrupted when to stored to this card. Do yourself a favor and don't buy this card I would never recommend it

5 out of 5 eggsWorks fast.

Pros: I've been using this in my Samsung tablet and it can access 2-3 MB photos instantly as you scroll through the gallery. Can't say I've had any problems with it.

Cons: None noticed, except cost. At least that's coming down.
Its 1/32 of a TB. BACKUP becomes more important now, as there is more data to lose in a single place.

Other Thoughts: 13 1/2 years ago a tech friend made fun of me for thinking I would be able to use a 10 GB hard drive. 12 years ago I spent nearly 400 on a hard drive this size. 9 years ago I was shelling out about this much for this many MB. 6 yrs ago this would've held all my family photo and video. This is my 2nd 32 GB card, only 2 years ago I bog my Canon 60D with only two 16 GB cards thinking that would be more than enough, welcome to HD video.

5 out of 5 eggsSolid performance

Pros: This part was gotten as part of a verification cycle for some equipment we are deploying so I have been running a lot of tests on it. So far I have been very impressed by the file transfer rate and how well the memory has held up. After several thousand reads and writes to every bit advailable on the microSD its still working at optimal speed with no degredation in performance.

Cons: The same con I have seen with most microSD cards is the plastic case. It isn't made for heavy use like plugging it in and out multiple times a day. However this is a drawback of all microSD cards. So doesn't really detract from the device.

Other Thoughts: The Kingston miroSD cards are a touch more expensive then the cheapest ones on the market, however what I have been finding is that they make up for that in quality. In the ones that I have sampled there haven't ben any dead or stuck bits. Or drop in performance with heavy use.
