4 out of 5 eggsGood card if you know what you're looking for

Pros: It's an affordable SDHC card and does what its supposed to do.

Cons: I wouldn't recommend this card for those looking to use it for HD. It's better to go with a class 10.

Other Thoughts: It is a good card at good pricing! I was only unhappy that it messed up some video recordings but after doing some research on this card I found that the class 10 is better suited to perform HD recording. I gave it to my friend who is a novice photographer and she loves it! it does what it needs to do at a good price.

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: It seemed like a good price ($45.99) for a mid-speed sdhc 32 GB card.

Cons: Worked ok for about 2 weeks. I painstakingly encoded my 5 yo daughters favorite movies to work with the Aluratek 8" player (APMP101F) bc she's adores movies. Then the movies started to jump and skip. I assumed it was the player or encoding errors on my part. But by the third week it would barely play anything off of the card. So I decided to wipe the card and start over again, only it would no longer read/write properly using XP, Vista or Win 7. My other cards work fine. So RMA'ing to Transcend since at least their stuff has a LT warranty so we'll see.

1 out of 5 eggsToo Slow

Pros: None

Cons: Too slow to play MP3 files on car radio. As a Class 4 device it should have >12x speed margin. Transcend did not respond to my direct inquiry about the product.

1 out of 5 eggsDied within 1 hour

Pros: High capacity for the money.

Cons: Failed after recording ~1 hour of video (Panasonic HDC-TM700).

Other Thoughts: After about an hour of recording with no hint of problems, I shut off the camera. When I re-started the camera, I got a CARD ERROR and the camera refused to recognize the card. I continued with a spare card (Kingston brand). At home, my PC said the card needed to be formatted before it could be used, so apparently the FAT had become corrupted. I used a data recovery program to retrieve the video files from the card, so at least the recording itself was saved. But, for the card to fail like this is distressing. I RMAed the card and the replacement is on the way, but I doubt I will be buying Transcend brand again, and it makes me worry about the 2 other Transcend cards I own (8GB cards) for my still camera. I haven't used them yet. I guess I'll be backing up early and often.
