1 out of 5 eggsDying After 6 Months

Pros: Worked gloriously well out of the box.

Cons: Bought this adapter to replace my N300 that had all but stopped working. I assumed the problem was on my end. After taking care to not damage, move, or pretty much touch the product in any way, it suddenly stopped working effectively. Tech support calls achieve nothing. Never want to buy again.

2 out of 5 eggsFrequent requires restart

Pros: Dual-band

Cons: When putting any type of decent amount of data through this thing, it basically shuts down. It becomes unrecognizable by Windows mid-stream and must be unplugged/plugged back in to regain a connection.
Connection is fine for a minute, then as soon as you get your data transfer rates going again, it crashes again.
I'm not even talking huge transfer rates here, speeds as low as 900 kb/s.

Other Thoughts: Super annoying and totally unacceptable. I have two of these units and they both perform this way.
If you are looking for a reliable device and you do more than just browse the web, look elsewhere.

5 out of 5 eggsFast but some issues

Pros: Very quick. I do not notice any lag difference between LAN and WiFi.

Cons: I ended up installing three different versions of the same driver before reinstalling the first one again and bam it worked.

The adapter icon occasionally disappears from my network manager and the internet is unusable until I manually reinsert the adapter. Also sometimes (about 1/5 restarts) after restarting my machine I am forced to reinsert the adapter.

Other Thoughts: I'm happy.

4 out of 5 eggsNot 300+300Mbps

Pros: 5Ghz gets good signal from the Airport Extreme. The driver disk is easy to install and was up and running inside 2min.
Good price and quality (so far anyway)
Fast shipping from Newegg

Cons: - minus one egg for not connecting to both 2.4 and 5ghz simultaneously which newegg seems to suggest it does
- not as small as the belkin n300 it replaced
- not quite fast enough for some HD movies from my server

Other Thoughts: I didnt buy this adapter for the 300+300Mps. I bought it to get out of the 2.5Ghz band which my neighborhood is full of and caused interference and lag (25+ signals). Has worked well for this and would buy again

1 out of 5 eggsDO NOT BUY

Pros: It has a small form factor.

Cons: This device has a faulty driver (at least for Windows XP) that Belkin is aware of but refuses to patch.

This device will drop connections and overheat if put under high load: e.g., streaming video and/or using many open connections. I have had this device replaced by the manufacturer and still have the same problem.

This has been tested and confirmed on two separate Windows XP machines.

There is a resolution by using the reference driver for the device's chipset, but to avoid violating review guidelines that's all that needs to be mentioned.

4 out of 5 eggsusb

Pros: It works up to 300mbps and connects pretty well.

Cons: Sometimes takes a while to find a conmection.

Other Thoughts: I bought in store. I have 60 feet away from the router.
