1 out of 5 eggsLow profile bracket?

Pros: If you can get it to stay in the PCI slot it works great.

Cons: Get your tin-snips and pliers out because your going to be cutting and reshaping the bracket to get it into most SFF PC's.
This vendor does NOT have a firm grasp of the term "low profile bracket"

Other Thoughts: This was my first, and last of these cards. next time I'll just stick with a USB Wireless Adapter. This install wasted FAR too much time!

Manufacturer Response:

2 out of 5 eggsWorks, but not the best fit for everyone. Literally.

Pros: The adapter connects quickly and gets good reception provided you bypass the included, superfluous connection utility. Install the drivers manually using the Windows Device Manager, and you'll be fine.

Cons: The card will not mount properly in my Apex DM-318. The bracket is about 1/2 cm too high relative to the back of the case.

Also, despite being N-compatible, I was not able to connect to my Netgear WNDR3700's N network, instead having to resort to its legacy G network. I'm not sure why this is, but I haven't had similar connection issues with other wireless adapters.

Other Thoughts: The bracket issue is most frustrating. This is one of the few low-profile PCI adapters available, and it's understandably a bit more expensive than standard PCI adapters.

3 out of 5 eggsGreat Adapter - Doesn't Fit

Pros: Great reception, easy software installation

Cons: I read the other reviews for this product and thought for sure it would fit no problem. But the bracket is actually mounted about a 1/2 cm too high on the card. The bracket is the right size when compared to the size of other brackets that fit in my system and the card fits nicely into my PCI slot.

The bracket is just mounted too high and sticks up too far to shut my quick-lock on the used for all the other brackets :(

Manufacturer Response:

Valued Customer,

We are sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused you. We recognized there was a product issue and we now have new brackets we can send you.
Please contact us at sales@trendnet.com, reference "New Egg product review" and someone will contact you immediately. We look forward to working with you directly and restoring your faith in TRENDnet products.

3 out of 5 eggsWorks

Pros: It's wireless so my PC can be anywhere in the house. It also has no problem picking up a signal

Cons: That being said, it will not automatically come on. I have to initialize connection everytime I turn on the PC. I have worked on the settings so that it is set to automatically come on.
Also, this does not fit in a Dell Inspiron case. I had to do some work to make it fit.

Other Thoughts: I think it's a little expensive for what you get. It's nice to have the all in one for the space where I put this pc but I wish the speeds were better.

Manufacturer Response:

Valued Customer,

3 out of 5 eggsA little low

Pros: Works great

Cons: Sits to low on bracket

Other Thoughts: The card itself works great, but unfortunately, I had to modify the bracket on it because the card sits to low on it for the computer case I was installing it in.

Manufacturer Response:

Valued Customer,

We are sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused you. Please contact us at sales@trendnet.com, reference "New Egg product review" and someone will contact you immediately to help if you are asking for a standard profile. We look forward to working with you directly and restoring your faith in TRENDnet products.
