My ASUS ROG G750 (17.3" display) fits perfectly inside this case. The case seems really well-constructed and looks like it will outlive the computer. I took mine on a three week car trip, with the power brick, network cable (just in case), and cordless mouse all in the large side zippered pocket and the manual, some CDs, and a cable lock in the smaller pocket on the same side. Everything fits comfortably and securely.

Does this have the adjustable divider like the 18" version does? i have a 15" and a 17" laptop that i take for different situations.

No, it doesn't have an adjustable divider. That said, I do use it to carry two different laptops of the sizes that you're mentioning, and using the strap inside to velcro them in, I feel the 15" does alright (not what I would call "snug", though).
