1 out of 5 eggsUsed to be great but no ipv6 support means it's quickly becoming useless

This review is from: TP-LINK TL-WR702N Wireless N150 Travel Router, Nano Size, Multifunction, 150Mbps

Pros: Small

Cons: No ipv6 support means it is getting less and less useful

5 out of 5 eggsGreat product, very useful in a variety of situations.

This review is from: TP-LINK TL-WR702N Wireless N150 Travel Router, Nano Size, Multifunction, 150Mbps

Pros: Flexibility - This device can be used in many circumstances to fill a gap in a network configuration.
Size - This thing is tiny. It's easy to store and carry, and it's light enough that you can just leave it hanging from a port on the wall if you want.
Reliability - I used this device as a wifi hotspot for almost a year without any issues I can recall. I've been using it in client mode to give my desktop computer internet access for a week without a single problem. I can watch 1080p60 YouTube videos no sweat.
Price - At the time of this review, it's less than $20. You can't beat that.

Cons: To configure the device, you need to connect a device with ethernet and navigate to the router's IP address in a web browser. Once you get there, making almost any changes requires a reboot before you can continue, and often it'll be a whole minute before the router has rebooted and your computer has figured out what the network setup is again. The web interface is effective and by no means bad, but it will be intimidating to laymen.

TL;DR: Initial setup can be tricky, especially for someone who is not technologically proficient.

1 out of 5 eggsworst - is there any other word inferior to this?

This review is from: TP-LINK TL-WR702N Wireless N150 Travel Router, Nano Size, Multifunction, 150Mbps

Pros: Nothing

Cons: I bought this almost a year and as of today I could not install it. The URL provided on the unit is invalid. Customer service is pathetic.

Other Thoughts: I won't recommend at all

4 out of 5 eggsWorks great with Dish Network receiver.

This review is from: TP-LINK TL-WR702N Wireless N150 Travel Router, Nano Size, Multifunction, 150Mbps

Pros: Set up easy. Distance from router about 30 feet. Put into client mode, and Dish receiver doesn't know the difference.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Considerably cheaper than Dish Networks wireless solution. Haven't tried streaming yet, but speeds should be no problem with a 10mb upload connection for Dish Anywhere.

4 out of 5 eggsGood performance for the price

This review is from: TP-LINK TL-WR702N Wireless N150 Travel Router, Nano Size, Multifunction, 150Mbps

Pros: Good price and good performance. Have used as wired and wireless bridge as well as range extender. Setup is relatively easy and included directions were sufficient.

Cons: First one worked great, but after about a year I gave it to my sister-in-law to use as a bridge for her older model Nook. The Nook would not work or play well with their home router, but could talk through the TP-Link. Purchased another for myself, but second unit has never been as stable or reliable as it will time out at least once per day, but will recover after disconnect/reconnect of power. This has been true with multiple locations in different states/countries.

Other Thoughts: Would purchase again. Still the best value I know of.

4 out of 5 eggs

This review is from: TP-LINK TL-WR702N Wireless N150 Travel Router, Nano Size, Multifunction, 150Mbps

Pros: The Swiss-Army-Knife of WiFi gadgets.

Cons: Label is tough to read, even in good light. I needed a magnifying glass.

Other Thoughts: I used mine as a home WiFi router for a few weeks when my main WiFi router died. Coverage was excellent and connections (Windows laptop, three tablets, two cellphones) never dropped. In Client mode, I connected a media streamer through the Ethernet jack to link it with the WiFi router that my NAS connects to. Playback of videos on my TV, including standard-def DVD rips, was flawless; MUCH better than using the WiFi dongle on the media streamer. Presently using it to connect (in Client mode) a VoIP ATA to my home network. No problems so far.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Device!

This review is from: TP-LINK TL-WR702N Wireless N150 Travel Router, Nano Size, Multifunction, 150Mbps

Pros: Compact, easy to use, versatile, reliable connection, very affordable

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Use the TP-Link to connect my Slingbox SOLO that is on the bottom floor of our 3-story house to our wireless home network. It always works when I need it and speeds are steady enough to watch HD content. I use only the Client Mode but there is a total of five, making this a very handy device that is very reasonably priced.
