5 out of 5 eggsGot these

Pros: Have these and two TP Links and although they are rated equally for speed, the D-Link is significantly faster, even when using a TP Link as the sender! It regularly recieves at 420mps or faster. It also is much more stable as the TP Link has to regularly get unplugged and replugged to link with its mate. No such problems with the D-Link! The D-Link also has a firmer connection to the AC plug.

Cons: None that I can come up with at this point.

Other Thoughts: These are highly recommended solidly performing units that are far better than wireless.

5 out of 5 eggsPlug N Play

Pros: Works perfectly, very fast! Setup was a breeze.

Cons: None at this time

Other Thoughts: I bought these to replace some 200 mbps adapters and the speed increase was noticeable immediately. I just plugged them in and they are working perfectly.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat product and great technology

Pros: My living room is on the opposite side of my house than where my wireless router is, so I only get about 2 bars if I want to surf while watching TV. I decided to go the powerline route because I can't easily run CAT5 cable. One end plugs into my main router and the other end plugs into my older route that is used to extend my wireless signal, as well as provide GB Ethernet to my PS3 and Xbox (I know they don't have GB ports on there). The adapters come with instructions that are really self explanatory. Works as advertised.

Cons: None that I can think of. I haven't done any bandwidth tests to verify that I can get the advertised speeds. But it comes up on the router as a GB connection.

1 out of 5 eggsDidn't last a week

Pros: While it worked it did what it said it was supposed to.

Cons: After less than a week of average use the client adapter would no longer power up. Absolutely unacceptable!!

4 out of 5 eggsWDTV BLISS

Pros: Streaming 1080p BR ISO's and MKV's from home server to a WDTV in a bedroom that I did not want to disrupt to run CAT 6. Working perfectly.

Cons: Sort of blocks the shared outlet

Other Thoughts: Tried a 200 Mbps unit of another brand and my video was very choppy, stuttered, had audio drop out and would just plain freeze (other traffic was fine just high bitrate video would lag) or stop on a 200 Mbps unit. So if you need HD streaming make sure to get a 500 Mbps unit.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome

Pros: -Easy to Install
-Drivers not needed
-Full ISP speed

Cons: None Really. Other than it kinda gets pretty warm, but since it doesn't affect performance I don't think its a con.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks great

Pros: Easy install, fast enough for simple home stuff, extends wireless coverage easily

Cons: A little pricey, wall wart units sometimes a difficult fit

Other Thoughts: Plug and go functionality. Worked a little better on some outlets than others, but even with the red "OK signal" connectivity it still exceeds my 16/4 Internet connection, which is all I need it for. Allows me to concentrate my NAS and workstation in my office and extend the wired network to other lower-bandwidth items and locate another wifi hotspot on the other side of the house to give better coverage without relaying the signal. My only complaint is that the units themselves feel a little flimsy for being $55 apiece, and oddly plug in to the upper outlet better than the lower one, as opposed to most wall warts. A standard grounding plug and one of these devices will fit OK into a typical home outlet, so this and a power strip works fine. Beats the hell out of having to drag cat5 everywhere. Works great for $120, would be a better deal at $70 or so.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Product

Pros: Defiantly easy to set up. No longer than 5 minutes to complete. The data rate on intranet from desktop to JOBD box took only 25 minutes copying 17.5 GB media files at 80MB. Download from the web file 1.6GB under 6 minutes, which was the highest rate that the ISP offered with out being connected to the router directly.

Cons: To get the best speed from the devices you have to find the correct outlets that provide the best performance. Not every outlet in the home gives the best bandwidth.

Other Thoughts: Great tool for setting up a network with out rewiring the house with RJ45 wires in the home or APT. My old DLink 303 provided 35 to 45MBs at best. The D-Link DHP-501AV provides more than double that speed. At best I copied 45GBs at 101 MBs. Great performance at a affordable price point.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Mind blowing how simple the install is. Literally plug it in and you are good to go.

Cons: No linux support for setting password.

Other Thoughts: I knocked an egg off because this set up did not perform a miracle on the questionable wiring in my house. With that being said, it does provide enough bandwidth to stream SD content, but there is delay in playback. At this price point I would of preferred to be able to stream 720p but the tech is just not there yet. Overall a solid product and sure beats running cat cable through 3 floors.
