3 out of 5 eggsNot a very good IPS display

This review is from: Acer H6 H276HLbmid Black 27" 5ms HDMI IPS panel Widescreen LED Backlight Monitor 250 cd/m2 1,000:1

Pros: Slim light weight 27" screen with good picture quality.

Cons: Backlight is not strong enough, speakers are very quiet and tin sounding, and for an IPS panel the blacks are very grey.

5 out of 5 eggsPure Magic

This review is from: Acer H6 H276HLbmid Black 27" 5ms HDMI IPS panel Widescreen LED Backlight Monitor 250 cd/m2 1,000:1

Pros: In all seriousness i think the ACER H6 lineup has the nicest computer monitors on earth right now. These monitors seem like they were sent down to earth by an advanced alien race because these monitors are in a league of its own in terms of color depth and accuracy.

I went through five different IPS monitors before coming to this one. This monitor makes every monitor looked washed out in comparison.

The last monitor i returned before this was the LG 27' IPS 5MS 5M:1 contrast ratio because it simply looked washed out. I also returned the ASUS 24' 144hz 1ms response time monitor because it was washed out and had terrible image ghosting (believe it or not). I also returned the asus 23' IPS because it looked washed out as well.

I really think anti-glare surfaces make monitors look washed out, its so hard to see into dark areas at night in games with anti-glare surfaces. Its as if it blocks out a huge spectrum of light. The untreated glass on these monitors are what i think makes them so nice. I am never touching anti-glare again. Once you see the blacks and color depth on this monitor you will probably order two more.

I have the 23 inch version of this monitor as well and my concern was that the 27 inch would not look as nice, would have more image ghosting, and would look more washed out.. I was wrong on all accounts. This monitor is a 100% spitting image replica of its 23' little brother in terms of image quality, color accuracy, and most importantly image ghosting (im a huge gamer)

These monitors literally have zero image ghosting. The only way i can get image ghosting is if i run games in a 720p resolution. Even then its extremely hard to notice and you really have to put your face right up to the screen.

Maybe they updated this monitor or something because i seriously cant get this monitor to ghost even if i tried.

The 27" LG IPS monitor i returned made the entire games graphics fuzzy when i turned, this monitor retains perfect clarity weather i am still or turning the camera.

These monitors are pure magic. Its like the image is not even made of pixels but rather some magical neon glowing liquid.

Cons: -The base of the stand has a magnet inside which can harm any electronics you rest down on the base (luckily the magnet can be removed in seconds if you just pop the metal plate off from under the base and remove it. Its pretty small it looks like one of those motherboard batteries at first but its REALLY strong)

-Every keyboard key i touch as i write this review makes the monitor wobble a bit. And if i type really fast the wobbling builds momentum to the point where it slightly rocks (the sides of the monitor go up and down a bit but not forward/backward) I guess they could have used a bit wider stand

No VESA screwholes

Other Thoughts: I always thought it was impossible to have as clear or colorful of image quality as my iphone6. I thought colors and depth that good was only achievable in small phone screens.

When i got this monitor it was literally like playing on a 27 inch iphone screen. The colors paired up with the GLASS panel is just dreamy..

If you want to see how much anti-glare ruins a games lighting/visibility/image depth/ and color accuracy.. Simply put an anti-glare screen protector on while playing games and observe how much more blurry and washed out the game looks. Not to mention it goes from looking 3D to 2D the moment you put the antiglare surface on

3 out of 5 eggs

This review is from: Acer H6 H276HLbmid Black 27" 5ms HDMI IPS panel Widescreen LED Backlight Monitor 250 cd/m2 1,000:1

Pros: Monitor had great picture quality if the image was still anyway(see cons)
Bezel was perfect, very slim and out of the way. The stand was also pretty decent.

Cons: hdmi cable stopped working 1 day after being used. It also had SEVERE ghosting issues. Even just scrolling through a web page showed text and images trailing.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Monitor

This review is from: Acer H6 H276HLbmid Black 27" 5ms HDMI IPS panel Widescreen LED Backlight Monitor 250 cd/m2 1,000:1

Pros: It's only been a week so far, but I've got here exactly what the specs said. The screen is bright, clear, and wonderful. The inputs listed work fine, no dead pixels, easy to assemble. Came with all the cables I needed.

I have a visual disability, and this screen makes life easier for me, as far as reading, enlarging content, and just enjoying my computer more.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: Some people have complained that you cannot tilt the screen as much as others. This is true, but the viewing angles are so nice that I didn't find this a problem.

5 out of 5 eggsGood bang for the buck when on sale

This review is from: Acer H6 H276HLbmid Black 27" 5ms HDMI IPS panel Widescreen LED Backlight Monitor 250 cd/m2 1,000:1

Pros: All the basic Inputs are there except Display Port.
Auto input switching, make its very easy to switch between my computer and Xbox One.
Sharp picture for a large 1080P screen
No dead pixels and good even back lighting with very little bleeding.
No noticeable ghosting to my aging eyes

Cons: 27" 1080p
regular price too high
VERY shinny screen surface
weak stand, not very stable

Other Thoughts: For the 195$ I payed on sale this monitor was a STEAL! Hard to nit pick a 27" IPS screen with only basic controls and a cheap stand for the price I payed. I gave it 5 eggs based on that price also, and probably a 3.5 egg at its normal 279-319$ range I've seen it at.

4 out of 5 eggsAcer H6 H276HL

This review is from: Acer H6 H276HLbmid Black 27" 5ms HDMI IPS panel Widescreen LED Backlight Monitor 250 cd/m2 1,000:1

Pros: Very little light bleed unlike my Samsung 590D 27 inch monitor, it’s almost not even noticeable.

Solid blacks throughout the panel when you set in front of it.

Decently priced for what you get
Not to dark, however it took time to get used to during gaming and watching things.

A decent stand, easy to install, runs cool and it’s light. I actually like this and need this, I’m in a small room without a window and my TV would heat the room up 5F or so.
Stand does have a tilt feature but you can’t move the screen up or down.

Sharp enough and it can actually handle small details without looking fuzzy something my 32 inch Acer did all the time on this monitor all the extremely tinny lines or details in games are clear and smooth.

Cons: The colors are only slightly better than my old Acer TV it’s like a 1.1 version of it, that being said I’m 100% sure a TN panel can come close in color quality to this panel, I’m talking about the 8 bit TN panels.

My 1080P Samsung 590D IPS monitor was way brighter and sharper then this monitor as well as having superior color quality, was a night and day difference between this and the Samsung in a bad way but at least there isn’t any noticeable light bleed.

Response time was also faster on the Samsung (priced closed to this monitor). When playing Simcity and moving the mouse icon you can see a shadow follow you or if you move a window up and down in windows you can see it do the same thing as well. It’s not too noticeable during gaming or watching shows, but I think it would bother the intense fps gamer.

Other Thoughts: 1080P is decent enough for a 27 inch monitor, 1080P on the Samsung was sharp on this monitor its smooth and it makes me feel like 1440P would have been better but this is OK.

Some can get this monitor for 190$ and I have to say it’s one hell of a deal for that price.

Not sure how I feel about the glossiness I like it and I don’t at the same time. It makes the panel seem really clear like I’m looking out a window but at the same time I have a light behind me and I can see the glare in darker scenes but it’s not noticeable in most cases.

Keep in mind all these panels are basically from LG with the particular brands circuitry/frame and calibration added in (from Acer or AOC so on).

5 out of 5 eggsAcer H6

This review is from: Acer H6 H276HLbmid Black 27" 5ms HDMI IPS panel Widescreen LED Backlight Monitor 250 cd/m2 1,000:1

Pros: Outstanding display. The IPS feature really stood out to me because I only had non-IPS monitors in the past. It comes with an HDMI cable, which is a nice bonus. Screen is really glossy and made of a high grade material. Overall solid construction and, even though I've only had it for a week, I haven't noticed any issues whatsoever. Acer really stood out with this monitor.

Cons: I know it's not a big deal but the stand is super flimsy. Flimsy like my grandma's rocking chair flimsy. Slightest little push makes it move to an uncomfortable degree, and I always worry that it will fall off. I was going to take an egg off but I realized the pros outweigh that one little con.
