Q: I want to save 10$ a month for renting the actionteck router from FIOS , I need it for the "TV Guide" to show up on screen for the TVBoxes. Can I use this to assign IP addressed to the set-top boxes? (IE add a coax port to my router). The FIOS router is garbage for my needs, and they charge me 10$ a month for the stupid thing and all it does is burn electricity and give me TV GUIDE. <.<

Yes, if your coax transmission is using the HPNA standard, of course. I have AT&T Uverse and have successfully connected using this device to Roku HD, Roku 3, XBox One, Panasonic Blu-ray (all going out via HDMI) and various PCs, Macs, and Raspberry Pis. Even my Uverse second receiver accepts Ethernet and takes the TV signal. The Ethernet signal is 100% normal and no device I've tried has ever balked at it.

I have a modem of xfinity xB3, I use this to place official to another area of the house and also use the wifi xfiniti xB3. Example. 1 => My ISP, 2 => TPA-311, 3 => xfiniti xB3

just to make sure - this router allows you to connect to coaxial...then connect devices to it through ethernet.  right?

Correct.  You need at least two of them.  I used two - one on each end of a long coax cable to extend Ethernet into a room where I couldn't easily run CAT5 but there was already cable TV coax cable.  I get about the same speed as 100mbit Ethernet.  Each end has 2 Ethernet ports, so I could connect my xbox and a blueray player or smart tv or something.

this is NOT a cable modem

These are used to transmit Ethernet over Coax (cable TV) cable.

They work well for their designed purpose.

I used these to link two Wireless access points in a large home install that is was not possible to run Cat 5e (UTP) cable.

Can I use this to hook up to the cable (by coax) in the room and run the high speed internet to a PS4 as if wired by ethernet cables.  We had something that did that but when we switched from fios to comcast they stopped working.  The PS4 is unable to run in this room it says the signal is too weak?

If your modem supports HPNA 3.1 it should work fine. In my case, I just ran a coaxial cable from the back of my modem into the wall and placed this box next to my router in another room. The connection was much more reliable than trying to get a wireless signal from the other side of my apartment. I use AT&T Uverse though, so I can't really comment on how well it would work with Comcast (one of my AT&T techs said that you could run Comcast internet over a series of paperclips, so I assume this would work fine).

I would suggest that you make sure your modem supports HPNA 3.1 before you do anything else though.
