1 out of 5 eggsDead Pixel

Pros: 144hz

Cons: dead pixel

Other Thoughts: It's 2015 and companies are still selling defective displays...
Why? Why should I have to be the one to live with this?

5 out of 5 eggs144hz!

Pros: Fast, clean, smooth, and bright!

Colors are great.

Nice "Cool" feature to tone down the intensity of the monitor if needed.

I can really see the true nature of my video card with this monitor.

Cons: Doesn't feed the dog

Other Thoughts: Others said the colors and the stand were flemsy.
I think the colors are just fine out of the box what you would expect for a normal monitor. For those wanting to mount this for consoles instead of a PC, it may be different because you cannot change the colors as easy.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat monitor

Pros: The 144 hz really makes a difference. Its something I have been missing since using old Sony 21" CRT's. Just the cursor on the screen moves so smooth now. Haven't has a chance to test the 3D function. I bought 2 of them on sale for a steal of a price and they both are preforming great!

Cons: None!

3 out of 5 eggsMoney better spent on other aspects of a display than 144 Hz

Pros: Large, extremely clear image, definitely feels smoother than 60 Hz.

Cons: - Color profile for this monitor is really washed out in Windows 8. Plug into Windows 7 machine, looks exactly as you expect. Plug into Windows 8, everything is way too bright. This would be tolerable with calibration (still difficult to make it look "correct"), but the hallmark of the Windows 8 monitor calibration utility is becoming randomly disabled, so trying to keep the correct gamma is very frustrating.

- It is hard to put my finger on, but I would have rather spent less on a smaller monitor, or bought a 24" monitor with higher maximum resolution. As it is, this monitor makes games look EXTREMELY clear, but not detailed. You can see every pixel and every flaw in the graphics, especially at the 2 feet I currently have it from my head. Probably better for twitch shooters than the RPG's I prefer.

- I have noticed some motion ghosting in Skyrim. More testing is required, but disturbing to say the least.

- Black level is poor, even though the contrast ratio is quite good. Blacks look more grey than I like.

Other Thoughts: I would rather have spent extra money on something with either a higher resolution, or better black level than 144 Hz.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Monitor

Pros: This was my first >60Hz monitor. The fluidity of motion and animation blows your mind. I will never go back to 60Hz after experiencing this. I'm probably not going to try the 3D anytime soon, but the size, resolution, Hz, and brightness were a perfect pairing for my GTX 970. Yes, it's a TN panel (shock and awe), but the colors are not nearly as washed out as similarly priced panels and the viewing angles are (dare I say it) almost as good as an IPS display. Moving from a 1440x900 display with a few (read: multiple) dead pixels and a 9ms GTG response time to THIS? Well worth the $200 on sale.

Cons: I had to replace the monitor, for reasons listed below. The only cons I could think of were unit specific. There was a stuck pixel in the middle of the screen, but I don't fault them for that. That could've just been a manufacturing fault for that one unit. Also, there was an unusual blob of light in the center of the screen. For that I'll take off an egg, but if the new unit doesn't have such a pronounced light I'll put the egg back.

Other Thoughts: When I get the return unit back I'll update this review if needed.

5 out of 5 eggsMore than I hoped for

Pros: Great color, smooth, 4k capable with my GTX970 using the dual channel DVI cord that it comes with. Very light, have it on a VESA mount. Picked it up on sale for $211 shipped. Zero complaints.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Did not expect such a good product out of Acer. Hours of continuous use gaming, no issues.

5 out of 5 eggsWow

Pros: Amazing product, I was expecting something good but not this good. The 144hz and 1080p is amazing and its the perfect resolution for gaming. I can't go back to 60hz monitors now:)

Cons: The stand doesn't support the monitor too well, I have to be careful not to shake my table too much or my monitor will tip over.

5 out of 5 eggsBeautiful Bright Monitor

Pros: 144hz means higher framerate in video games, which I put to good use immediately
Crisp, clear, beautiful with 0 dead pixels (1ms response time, 100M contrast ratio)
Can run 3D with extra Nvidia 3D equipment (will buy in the future)
Comes with proper cables
Light, nice looking base that seems sturdy
Function menu is easy to navigate
Great price for this monitor

Cons: Very very bright, I had to turn brightness all the way down to get the white end of the gamma to display the shades of gray properly (I hear the brightness is necessary for the 3D mode though - I have not yet purchased the extra 3D equipment to go with this monitor)
Monitor can't be tilted forward quite enough for my liking / my elevated placement of it on my desk.

Other Thoughts: I was up in the air about buying this one or its competitor Asus. Basically I bought the one that went on sale first, which was this Acer. This is the second Acer monitor in my home and I have no regrets. I'm looking forward to buying the 3D glasses and emitter for it when I can so I can take my games into the third dimension. Works as promised, at 144hz with my Nvidia GeForce GTX 570 video card. I can't wait to upgrade my video card to get even higher framerates in other games to take advantage of the monitor!
It also looks nice when I do things in Photoshop, so there's that too.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: 144hz is beautiful. I got it for $209 which is the lowest I've seen for any 120hz+ monitor.

Worked great out of the box with the included Dual DVI-D cable.

Cons: Flimsy stand and you can't really adjust the monitor at all. The colors are a bit washed out as well. These things are indeed cons, but not a big enough deal to me to dock an egg.

Other Thoughts: It's perfect if you're looking for a low-price 120hz+ monitor. It also has lightboost, but I'm unable to try it out without an Nvidia card. The toastyX strobelight hack does not work with this monitor.
