4 out of 5 eggsNice card. Simple install

Pros: Intel quality.

Cons: Interesting post install process. Card became primary interface and insisted on trying to do network boot. Had to actually plug it into a live port on a switch before it would allow POST.

Recognized by Windows 7 and Linux without any fuss or driver search.

Other Thoughts: Time will tell, but, the boot delay is a bit of a bother.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat card

Pros: Actually increased my speeds on both sides with the same network and completely reliable.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Unless you are having problems don't bother replacing your onboard NIC but of it fails or is slow grab this beauty and then move it to your next system. Definitely better than onboard NICs

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent. Works great

Pros: Easy to install even with Windows XP. Downloaded drivers from Intel website. I am getting my computer ready to upgrade to Windows 7. Internet is fast.

Cons: Only con I can think of is that drivers had to be downloaded from Intel website but that was easy to do.

5 out of 5 eggsQuality NIC

5 out of 5 eggsWorth the money

Pros: I bought this Adapter because my Sons 4 year old HP desktop with it's on board network adapter would not work with the new AC Nighthawk Router. This Adapter works great. Easy install. I just easily installed and no more trouble connected to the new AC router.

Cons: None

4 out of 5 eggsCard works as intended! *Review revision*

Pros: It just works.

Cons: Only my stupidity.

Other Thoughts: Earlier I wrote a review stating that this NIC would not fit in my GA-990FXA-UD5 motherboard. While it does in fact not fit in the pci-e x1 slot due to the northbridge cooling, I had completely forgotten about the compatibility with other pci-e slots. Right now the card is quietly doing it's thing a few slots under my GTX 760. Works great in a x8 slot!

4 out of 5 eggsIncompatible with some motherboards

Pros: Price, great reviews, Intel quality.

Cons: Sadly this nic does not fit in my Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD5. The card hits the NB heatsink. Not docking any eggs for this (5 eggs is perfect and we know that doesn't exist :D ), it's totally my fault in not seeing this first.

Other Thoughts: I had high hopes for this as I believe my onboard nic is on it's way out. Looks like I'll have to do my first ever return for a different card.
