Pros: None

Cons: DOA
Tried several ports on two different computers, device was never acknowledged by Windows 7. Also did not light up assuming it has a power LED.

2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: For the duration of it working, it worked well. Picked up my devices, no drops or nothing.

Cons: Owned it for a few months, but only used it for about three weeks. After the third week it just up and died. I still see the blue LED light on the USB head light up just a small bit, but not as apparent as it used to be. It can no longer be read or picked up by my PC.

Other Thoughts: I tried multiple ways on fixing it, and I hadn't done anything wrong to damage it. It was working perfectly until one day it just decided to give up. :(

5 out of 5 eggsWorks after online update

Pros: Works for Win 8.1. Good price for good performance. My Bluetooth switches between the laptop and cellphone without problem.

Cons: Had to spend some time to make it work. Fixed with online update

Other Thoughts: It was the cheapest, and works good. (Made a mistake in the past, buying one not compatible with Win 8, but up to win7)

2 out of 5 eggsUnreliable Adapter

Pros: It worked for the first few months of purchase where I could easily connect to my phone from Ubuntu and send pictures.

Cons: Now, for some odd reason it no longer reliably connects to my Kyocera DuraXT phone, nor to the ZTE Open C I purchased for use and to test out FirefoxOS. I nearly filed a bug report on the Bluetooth part of the ZTE before further testing revealed the adapter just wasn't working correctly. A shame as I bought this primarily because of the Linux compatibility in the title. Maybe it would work better on a Windows machine. Either way, a disappointing purchase.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for the price

Pros: Works out of the box with no issues on both Windows 7 and Linux (Fedora/RHEL/Debian). Tried multiple headphones/headsets and mice. Works about 15-20 feet away.

Cons: Since it is a micro adapter it has a relatively short range

2 out of 5 eggsCan't Recommend

Pros: Small, software included.

Cons: Not reliable. At the 2 month point became erratic and failed. Will not work on any of 3 systems.

Other Thoughts: Seller offers no warranty other than 30 day return period. I would expect that a concerned seller would offer something better than a 30 day return policy on new items. Makes me suspect the quality of their products. Will NOT purchase from them again.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Product Works Well.

Pros: Works as expected., I get about 10 meters, no problem.
Clear, no clicks, pops, or anything else, unlike may ASUS mother boards built in Bluetooth, Good product. works well.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Be sure to remove ALL prior Bluetooth drivers and software and disable the Bluetooth controller in your BIOS if you have one. Load the include software and that's it.
Pairs up with no problems.

3 out of 5 eggsOccasional problems

Pros: When it works, it's fine and does what it's supposed to do, which is connect to a wireless headphone in my case.

Cons: Occasionally, when the computer wakes from sleep (windows 8.1) my wired USB keyboard doesn't work. The wireless Logitech mouse does, but I can't enter the password to log into Windows. It's because of the Bluetooth adapter because when I unplug it, this problem never occurs. It also has never occurred before I got the adapter. Clearly a problem with the adapter or how it interacts with Windows 8 during startup.

3 out of 5 eggsWorks, but not with everything

Pros: -Really small footprint.
-Works with some bluetooth devices, like a bt headset, or bt mouse.

Cons: -Doesn't work with PS3 bluetooth controller which was my main reason for purchasing. Apparently you need a receiver with a little more capability.

Other Thoughts: I am using MotionJoy's DS3 software drivers, and the software won't recognize the bluetooth receiver. The software recommends something more like the BT ADPT ASUS| USB-BT211 R which I am going to try next.

Moral of the story is don't assume all bluetooth receivers are equal.
