1 out of 5 eggsDeactivated Windows.

Pros: Cheap adapter.

Cons: I had a problem installing drivers and I have no idea why!. The mini disc came with programs that installed in the background without my permission. Once wireless drivers installed I got a message that my copy of windows 7 I've been using since 2009 isn't genuine! It asked me to activate windows now and a wlan adapter shouldn't have anything to do with that BUT IT DID! I uninstalled this thing and plugged my Belkin back in and everything is back to normal. I'm NOT returning these things due to the cheap price and free shipping...I'm out $13.

Other Thoughts: These things get 0 eggs in my book but NewEgg as always gets 5 eggs!

4 out of 5 eggsItem works, shipping time needs work

Pros: While at first this product didn't seem to work as well as advertised and I was lagging pretty bad, a few days in and I barely noticed a difference in my internet speed. I did notice that, as opposed to my old wifi adapter, my internet was no longer cutting out. For how cheap this product was I didn't expect much, but I'm glad I made this purchase.

Cons: The shipping time. I am a relatively patient person, and I realize it's coming from China, but I did remove an egg because it took 4-5 weeks to finally receive it. After reading some reviews I thought I might never get it and it wasn't a huge loss, but I finally showed up and I was just happy it did.

Other Thoughts: I'd say if you are a patient person and don't need a new wifi card tomorrow, this is worth the 8 bucks and free shipping to buy it. It's very lowkey and I don't even notice it in my rig. I'm upstairs and the wireless router is downstairs, and I don't have problems connecting to the internet and streaming videos, music, etc.

5 out of 5 eggsIt's a WiFi adapter.

Pros: I bought this, literally, to review it so I could call out Steve. G. You poor, sweet, summer child. Dial-up is not 10-20mbps. 10-20mbps is almost a respectable WAN speed if you're getting a good price on it.

Cons: Eh, could be faster. Could be slower. I just use it as a failover.

1 out of 5 eggsHorrible connectivity

Pros: It's really small.

Cons: Bandwidth sucks. For a 802.11n antenna, this thing only runs at dial-up speeds (10-20 mps), way worse than my intrinsic 802.11b/g antenna, which I've switched back to. I'm just glad I didn't spend a lot of money on it.

5 out of 5 eggsSuprised

Pros: With windows 8.1 it auto installs. I did not use the drivers on the CD for windows 8. Read the reasons why in the Cons. Windows 7 and older did not auto install. With any other operating system you must use the CD that comes with it. I have a three story house with a wireless router on the top floor. I get full bars and can stream 1089p video in the basement. This is very surprising considering it is a nano adapter.

Cons: The webpage for the company is slow. The drivers are years old on their site. Checking the site in August 2014 I find the latest driver update from 2012 for a product that was just recently made available.

Other Thoughts: The only con for this product makes me fear that this company will not offer windows 9 drivers. Given the relatively cheap cost it still might be worth it over the named brands. A name brand costs five times more. Thus, buying new ones is still cheaper.

5 out of 5 eggsCan't beat the price

Pros: Price, easy to setup and install, shipped and arrived in a timely manner. I bought two of these to replace the messy networking cable I had running through my basement.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Works very well with my laptop and desktop.
Fast Speed
Low price.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Realtek device driver so it is pretty universal and works like it says. It is priced well and overall a good product.

5 out of 5 eggsUSB 3.0

Pros: cheap
fast
simple install
good OS support

Cons: USB 2.0 issues

Other Thoughts: this item came from China so the delivery time was a little bit longer than something directly from Newegg.com. After installing the software/driver, Windows started detecting wireless signal the same way a typical wireless card would work on a laptop. The unit was tested on two different laptop(compaq and dell) as well as two custom built desktop(i7 haswell and AMD FX 4000 series). On the laptop, there was no difference in the speed or range as compared to what's internal. With both the internal and stick running, I was not able to utilize both connect to multiple network for additional speed. I was able to scan for WEP and WPA keys using one of the two USB wifi(purchased 2). This means that there's an the two purchased are not identical despite being purchased at the same time(Chinese quality?). When tested on the desktop, the Haswell setup USB 2.0 and 3.0 plug produced the same solid result. The AMD FX 3.0 port worked great, but it did not like the 2.0 port. The system detected the same hardware, but for some odd reason, the USB 2.0 is slower than the 3.0. updated all the drivers, but no improvement. Overall, it's a great value for the price. If you're willing to wait....
