5 out of 5 eggsWorks well for what I wanted it for

Pros: Everything works as it should, charges my iPad, Note3 Phone, 2 external USB 3.0 hard drives are plugged in to it and I plug in a USB 2.0 & 3.0 flash drive. No problems so for.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: It has made my life a lot easier. I'm in a wheel chair and my desktop is not within reach. So it was roll back, roll left and roll forward, plug it in then, roll back, roll right, roll forward. Them do it a-g-a-I-n

1 out of 5 eggsQuestionable

Pros: Six ports USB 3.0 SS, but I have not had the chance to test them out yet.

Cons: It is advertised as an eight port USB 3.0 SS hub, with two charging and six non-charging ports. The charging ports, are NOT hub ports, they only supply power. They charge my iPhone and iPad well. However, the other six ports, will not step down properly for the iPhone/iPad to USB 2.0 HS. So the computer cannot see the USB 2.0 HS devices from this hub.

Other Thoughts: There may be a firmware update somewhere, but the corporate web site only deals with local puchasers.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat little Hub

Pros: 4 ports on opposing sides balances this out nicely. Host cable and adapter cable plug into the side which makes it more ergonomic (my opinion). I like how they color coded the ports with USB 3.0 as Blue and the powered USB 3.0 ports as Red. Since this is tucked under a monitor stand it makes it easy to distinguish what port is what.

Cons: None so far

5 out of 5 eggsUSB3.0 WITH AC 8 PORT

Pros: SPACING IS perfect for some of the large format USB items. AC power is very stable. USB 3.0

Cons: Another device to make up for manufacturer ( HP ) shortcomings

Other Thoughts: USB flash drives and additional WiFi sticks are too large to put side by side on a laptop. I need this AC powered USB 3.0 8 port hub just to make sure I can plug in additional devices and I do not want to draw all the power from a motherboard circuit. That would increase heat and potentially shorten the life of my laptop. There are two powered 4A ports for tablets @ USB 3.0

3 out of 5 eggsAvg

Pros: Has 2 charging ports and giving it has an AC Adaptor it can charge even if CPU is off.

Cons: Win 7 64 need a 2.0 driver, took an hour to find it, now every time windows starts up it says "Unknown device successfully loaded". This HUB is actually an Elton basis chip set so don't go looking to Unitek for info.

Other Thoughts: Does what I need for now but if you're a 3.0 USB Gear Head Look else where.

5 out of 5 eggsNice USB 3 Hub

Pros: Supplemental power supply - great for XHDDs
Lots of ports
5V2A ports (x2) are nice to have - charging devices
Works with new iMacs

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: This is a larger hub (6" long X 2.5" deep X 1" tall), but for the price, you get 6 USB 3.0 data ports and 2 charging ports, which is great for my purposes. USB dongles work with no issues. USB 3.0 bus powered XHDDs work with no issues. iPhone 5S charges on the 5V2A ports with no issues.

The unit comes with its own power supply, which, so far, has enough juice to power everything I've plugged into it so far.

I'm using this on a new iMac with USB 3.0 ports. I bought it because I've managed to populate all the native USB ports and reaching behind the iMac to unplug/plug devices was a pain. This hub makes life much easier. I'd highly recommend this device.

5 out of 5 eggsI really like this hub

Pros: My data throughput is not affected by the hub. On several of my previous USB 3.0 hubs, I saw as much as 30MB/s degradation when transferring data to and from my thumb drives, etcetera.

Hub contains six USB 3.0 connections and two USB power connections. I didn't think I would at first but now I really like the two power connections, they keep my phone and wireless head phones charged without worrying about amperage values affecting my charged items. Now I know that some would say, I would rather just have 8 USB connections but six is plenty for me.

I haven’t used these to connect any external drives (other than USB thumb drives) but I personally prefer to connect those directly to the computer.

I really like this hub. I’ve since purchased a second one for my desktop

Self powered.

Solidly built.

Cons: None

5 out of 5 eggsGreat USB 3.0 Hub

Pros: Hub has worked good so far, compared to two other hubs I have been using. I have a Gigabyte board with an Etron controller, which seems to be real picky on whats connected.

Cons: No cons as of yet. First hub I received seemed to have a power adapter connecter that didn't fit well hub, causing it to lose power. New hub didn't work with previous power adapter, but new power adapter worked like a charm.

Other Thoughts: Great service from Ann at Unitek, on getting a replacement shipped immediately. Thanks again

I have to say Newegg's shipping on this buy was substandard, compared to previous buys. Took a month to finally be satisfied with a working unit. 2 weeks for first shipment then another 2 weeks for replacement.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks Well

Pros: Simple setup, Comes with power and necessary USB wire. Good packaging.

Cons: Not really a con on the device as will most USB hub can get ulgy looking fast with thick USB3 wire.... hide it.. or mount it...

Other Thoughts: worth the money
