5 out of 5 eggsNewegg finally has these back in stock!

Pros: I have bought 9 or 10 packs of these DVDs, including the DVD-R version, over the past 9 years from various sources as Newegg did not keep these in stock for several years, and the only disks which have failed to burn over that time have been due to errors on my part or the equipment (such as freezes.) In that time Philips has changed the face design, with this one having a white background on the writing face which takes a marker much better and is much less prone to smearing.

Cons: Absolutely no cons.

Other Thoughts: I have a Philips DVR which can record to DVDs, and this is the main thing these are burned in. I had a 100 pack of TDK disks I bought from Newegg years ago (Newegg item number N82E16817131594) which after a few years started to degrade badly to the point where 30 out of the 100 were unreadable, and 9 more were able to be salvaged but had resulting playback errors, such as skips. Since then I will only use Philips disks, both in my DVR and in my Lite-On DVD-RW drives on my computer.

5 out of 5 eggsBest DVD's I've ever used

Pros: Very high reliability. I've burned through 3 100-packs of these disks using both my Philips DVR and 2 different Lite-On DVD drives and had no errors. First pack was bought in 2007 and those disks still read perfectly.

Cons: Not Lightscribe, but what do you expect for $19? Doesn't include paper sleves but those are dirt cheap on Newegg.

Other Thoughts: I bought a pack of these from Newegg before they stopped carrying them and I was forced to buy some from another eTailer. I used to buy nothing but TDK, but they changed their formula and 50-75% of a 100 pack was coasters, then I switched to Philips and never had an issue. My DVDs are kept in Targus protective DVD binders.

Pros: Lots of Disk

Cons: only about 25% burn you can get better disk for less. Even the ones that did burn would not play they skipped

Other Thoughts: I made a mistake and bought these at a local store, will buy from newegg next time they have better disks for the same or less will never buy these again. Last time I bought 100 RiDATA and they all worked

Pros: you get a lot of discs for the price

Cons: only half the discs will burn. i've tried a few different burners and half the time I get a new coaster.

5 out of 5 eggsWhat a Deal!!

Pros: Price, Quality.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I'm not sure why there are people having problems with these DVD's. I have used this particular Brand/Type for years now. As for burning at 16x, I have used many brands and and have never hit 16x. It is all relative to other hardware and even the program you are using to burn.

Just make sure your firmware is up-to-date, and that your DVD burner supports DVD+R.

Great DEAL....I got twice as much product for the price as I would have gotten at Wal-Mart. 50 DVD/21.74+tax

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: This is a great product, they are the only DVD's I use. I have been through many burners and have tried more than a dozen DVD manufacturers. These are the only ones that consistently burn without any problems.

Cons: None, I've never had a problem with these DVD's. I have many coasters from other company's but only about 5 from Philips, and those 5 are out of more than 700 burned.

Other Thoughts: Make sure your DVD players can read from the DVD+R format. Some older Players can't. Make sure you burner supports this brand, also make sure you have the most up to date firmware. Software can also make a difference. When buying DVD's take those things into consideration, or you may end up with coasters.

1 out of 5 eggsCOASTERS is all they are good for

Pros: If you want drink coasters these blanks will make you all you need. Don't bother trying to watch a movie on one it will freeze up as soon as the disk gets hot.

Cons: They are garbage.
