5 out of 5 eggsYep they're DVD-Rs

Pros: They burn. Advertised at 16X speeds, the media actually reports 20X speeds.

Cons: They don't wash my car and wax my floors.

Other Thoughts: Straight up, they do what they say, at even a little increased speed.

5 out of 5 eggsBest brand availible

Pros: Reliable, have no problems burning at 16x (although smart people will burn at no more than 8x to ensure broad compatibility), cheap price for the quality.

Cons: None really. Some people will find the branded label a con, but if you want a clean one, spend 2x or 3x as much and get Lightscribe, which is wonderful, just way to expensive.

Other Thoughts: Having completed my boycott of Newegg by spending $120 at another store (Pro\/antage) I could come back to Newegg. Newegg stopped carrying Philips for a while, glad they got them back in stock.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect in every way

Pros: No coasters, perfect burn every time!

Cons: Not the cheapest & they waste a lot of the dvd's top surface with print. No biggy

Other Thoughts: Excellent service from newegg as usual. These guys really know how to do business! shipped in 3 days, perfect packing.

5 out of 5 eggsgood disks

Pros: always burn no coasters

Cons: none that i can think of

Other Thoughts: just why people don't understand - if you want burnt dvd's to play on any player, you need to burn about half speed of the burner you have( i mean we're only talking minutes difference here)not slagging any burner or media.

2 out of 5 eggsNot worth the money

Pros: Can't think of any now

Cons: I burned about 50 so far at 16x, 12x, and 8x. Most of 16x burns were not readable. About 30% of 12x burns were not readable. About 20% of 8x burns were not readable. I have a recently purchased Lite-On DVD burner with the latest firmware that recognizes that this media is 16x capable. I have no problem burning a good copy onto a generic cheapies's like Staples and Imation blanks.

Other Thoughts: Of all the medias I used, V*t*m medias worked the best for me.

5 out of 5 eggsSuperb media

Pros: Burns flawlessly, works perfectly in my Philips DVD player, Emerson DVD player, Sony DVD player, Artec DVD drive, both Lite-On DVD drives, and this NEC laptop drive. -Rs are great for master copies.

Cons: Neweggs price, get them about half that at wally world.

Other Thoughts: Ive already burnt through my last pack of 100 with no coasters or problems and am about to get another 100.

2 out of 5 eggsslightly less than par

Pros: After burning ~50DVD's, I've come to the conclusion that this a a sub-par media for the following reasons: (1) altough I have a brand-new, up to date DVD burner that has burned at 16x speeds with other media (Verbatim/Ridata DVD+R), this media will generally burn at 12x and (2) the discs themselves have writing on them which isn't too bad but not a great selling point either.

However, I haven't burned any coasters to date and the discs seem to work fine in most modern players.

Cons: Originally purchased the item because I wanted to try something new. After having gone through most of the stack, I can honestly say that I will not be purchasing this again. I recommend that if you enjoy casually burning DVDs, you look in to getting Verbatim or the much cheaper RiData (well worth the additional 10 bucks).
