4 out of 5 eggsNot bad at all

Pros: Fair price, quality build

Cons: No way to use wired, catch interference especially when transmitters stand on my PC case, that's because of fans I guess

Other Thoughts: The reviewer above said he had got 2 pcs DOA, I suspect that can be not DOA but just that weird issue with charging I experienced too. When I got my second item I tried to put the headphones onto the base to charge and saw that charging didn't work. I swapped all between two sets and eventually saw that charging wasn't running on the item which is not connected to an audio source. As soon as I connected each base to my TV I saw both are fully operational.

1 out of 5 eggsbad lot????

Pros: I'll never know.

Cons: D.O.A. Also, it's obvious that SONY intends for this, and I suspect all their current wireless headsets, to be throw away items when the batteries die. The owner's instructions says to ask your retailer what to do when the batteries die or to take the product to a SONY store. I'm reasonably sure the retailers will also point you toward a SONY store which will undoubtedly charge you more than the headset costs to replace the batteries. The Newegg ad text mentions alkaline batteries as a potential power source. This is completely false. There are no external openings or removable panels. In the specifications list on Newegg it says the batteries are "built in". I believe this is SONY code for "not replaceable by the owner".

Other Thoughts: I've bought two of these locally and both were D.O.A. with the same problem. The chargers on both were non-functional. Maybe the retailer got a bad lot, I don't know but two picked at random, from different stores is no coincidence.
