4 out of 5 eggsDecent Keyboard for $30

Pros: Back-lit, 6 macros, Media keys, fun to tap while listening to music, durabe.

Cons: Keys are difficult to see at certain angles, Your friends laugh at your plastic keyboard

Other Thoughts: It's a good keyboard, just wish that the back-light was better or at least the labels were easier to see, took one egg off for that.

2 out of 5 eggsVery Disappointed

Pros: Seems to be good quality. Nice appearance soft touch

Cons: Bought because it was illuminated, in a totally dark room maybe!
But on a desk with lights on impossible!!

Other Thoughts: Not for anyone with weak eye sight.

5 out of 5 eggsDon't Listen to Negative Reviews!

Pros: Bright illumination, programmable macro keys, great spacing with keys. Easy to set up macros using included users guide. No drivers needed to install, Just plug it in and away you go. There are 4 settings regarding the illumination, (Fade, Bright, Dim & Off) The fade looks cool, but I find I use the Bright setting for my normal use. Nice that it has an off setting, some illuminated boards don't. I keep my computer on at night, while I sleep. So it's nice to be able to shut the glowing blue off.
The keys are easy to use, even with my bad left hand left over from a stroke. Keyboard seems to be built well, and looks great on my desk. I have owned a computer since 1982 and believe me I have had my shard of keyboards, way to many to count. Forget the price point this board is awesome.

It is NOT mechanical, so if you are looking for one of those, you will have to keep looking.

Cons: NONE

Other Thoughts: First off.... Some say there is no manual with this, I am looking at mine as I type this.

Some say the website is in German, well I just went to http://www.perixx.com/en/ And by golly you see that /en on the end of the address which stands for ENGLISH, that came up as a hit from Google shows me the page in English! Amazing.

Some say this board is not illuminated enough. It has 4 settings (Fade, Bright, Dim & OFF) You hit Fn and Esc and cycle thru them. My eyes are bad, but the keys are bright enough for me even during the day time! I wish people would use their brains more often before they spew garbage on reviews.

If for some reason yours did not come with a user manual, (mine did) you can go to:
http://www.perixx.com/en/service/manual.htm
and download one in a PDF format

1 out of 5 eggstotally useless illumination

Pros: good action for keys, seems like it will last

Cons: This keyboard is a failure. Even with good eyesight the illumination is too faint to see in a dim room during the day or at night, and the keys can only be read when the viewer is above the keyboard. The Perixx website is only in German and there is no manual with product. The numbers are especially small. this is a regrettable newegg purchase.. wish I could give no eggs

5 out of 5 eggsQuiet, Backlit, and smooth to type one

Pros: These keys feel amazing, and the backlighting is not 3 lvl brightness, its actually: Pulse>On>Dim>Off
Pulse looks great, but i keep mine to On most the time.
Keys are quiet, but not cheaply made. 6 key x 3 profile Macro setup is a nice additon.

Cons: Maybe a little brighter on the ON setting, but it IS blue and thats a darker color.

4 out of 5 eggsNice keyboard for the cost

Pros: This keyboard has lots of features that make it definitely one to consider. It has a nice look and feel to it, affordable without sacrificing design or quality as well. The sleek finish is impressive to say the least. The key setup is also standard, function keys double as multimedia controls with a function lock button replacing the right Windows key. The keys are also backlit to make easier use in a darker setting. The number one reason however I chose this keyboard was the 6 programmable keys, which also have 3 profiles. This makes a total of 18 programmable keys which isn't something ive seen in this price bracket ever. Definitely would recommend this keyboard!

Cons: There are a few concerns I have however. The backlighting while nice to have is dim if you aren't closer to looking directly down at the keys. Also if you turn the backlight off using Function + Escape keys they go completely black and almost useless if you don't have a familiarity with the keys layouts.

Other Thoughts: Overall I would suggest this keyboard to someone who wants backlighting and macro keys but doesnt want to spend an arm and leg to get a high cost alternative.

3 out of 5 eggsGreat keyboard for 9 months until cord started cutting out

Pros: Backlit, nice feel, and the macros are a nice feature. Price was good.

I have really enjoyed the keyboard

Cons: After about 9 months the cable started to cut out where it connects into the keyboard. It looks like a nice quality cable, with like a textile cover, but sometimes I see the lights flickering on the keys and it cuts out. Or worse, it has cut out during PVP gameplay with dire consequences

Other Thoughts: I do like the keyboard and I have moved it around a lot, but I expected this to be durable so I have mixed feelings about it lasting less than a year. It does get heavily used, but I still can't quite recommend it based on my experience.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Keyboard when on a budget

Pros: Back light is fairly bright
Keys are very quiet
cable is braided
3 profiles
6 macro keys (which support up to 40 key presses per macro)
Keys are very smooth on the top
Multimedia keys

Cons: At an angle the keys are kind of hard to read
My windows key was printed a smidge too far to the left
The construction is plastic, though appears very durable

Other Thoughts: This is a great keyboard for ~$30, the cons really aren't enough to take away an egg

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Nice fit, can easily see keys at all times, plenty of programmable buttons for gaming.
