5 out of 5 eggsKeyboards are one of the computer parts that never seem to die

Pros: - One of the few PC parts that won't die or melt

Cons: - Got to keep them clean under the keys or the lights will eventually dim

Other Thoughts: I got this because I was building a new PC and knew the look of it was familiar. It looked a lot like the old Saitek I had from my 2008 build. A 500GB Samsung hard drive, an EVGA 8800 GTS, and my Intel CPU are the only things still left alive from 2008, along with these keyboards. I think they're built to last, as long as you keep them clean under the keys.

5 out of 5 eggsThe ecellent Saitek keyboard design finds a new manufacturer......

Pros: Just an all around excellent non-mechanical back lit-keyboard. I'm a gamer and create music on my computer, but I have never liked the clackity mechanical keys. These are perfect for me, and the back-lighting is quite good enough as well. The color change is a nice touch, but I pretty much leave it blue. The keyboard is also fairly shallow, and has a little weight to it, which make it feel more stable.on a surface. it comes with a detachable wrist rest, but I tend to remove this as I do not use it, and it saves a little space when removed.

Cons: The legs that fold out on the bottom to tilt the keyboard can break.

Other Thoughts: I bought two of these when they were Saitek about 8 years ago and only recently discovered it has been reborn as a Perixx item, and bought one right away, as I just like the look and feel of it. Time to buy another one, as there tends to be a steady shower of crumbs and pot that gets into the one I have, and I'm too lazy to take the buttons off to clean it out.

4 out of 5 eggsNice inexpensive illuminated keyboard.

Pros: I can now better see my keys at night!
Have been using for about a year at this time, no problems.

Cons: It's advertised as having a purple option, but it's actually pink.
Some of the keys are dimly lit. The right arrow key and the 0 on the numbad in particular.

5 out of 5 eggsA

Pros: Well its simple; either copyright is a non-factor in China or they bought the Saitek design, and as the Saitek Eclipse II is my favorite...this exact duplicate is perfect.

Cons: taking $ out saitek pocket? dont even know what country they are in im just guessing china. only con, i cant go back and buy 100 of these at 20.00. I got it for 20.00 on sale (Saitek going for about 80? i think). I see they are now 70, temporarily on sale for 50.00. If you like the EclipseII get this before the price is the same. Identical I tell ya.

Other Thoughts: UPDATE: So, when I bought this I still had 3 Saitek NIB. I realized that the price had shot up as apparently Saitek is out of business. So after owning it for many months now, I still say its near identical to the Eclipse II. I did also, after selling my new ones, by a used Saitek online and when I got it I took it apart to clean and try to fix it. I have not taken apart the Perrix yet, but that would be the true telling of how close they are. I do see the genius of the Saitek design though I will warn anyone considering repairing their own; do NOT strip even one screw hole.If all holes are not intact for reassembly you will have string problems in that area. Another consideration, many of the used Saiteks I saw were missing one or both of the stands (and the palm rest but I throw those out myself). Buying a Perrix, at the right price, is a great way to get the impossible to find pieces to fix your Saitek....

But three/four months now at least...and Perrix still has good LED, uniform key responce, and is a good knock off. My Saiteks only ever got thrown out due to frustartion with missing stands (that I broke) or from maybe a spill....Never had I actually burned one out. So we will see if Perrix can stand same test of time. Even my G110 finally burned out with using the LED all the time, and started to show significant wear, but never my Saiteks.

3 out of 5 eggsNot bad but letters rubbed off.

Pros: Backlit. Keys feel pretty good.

Cons: labels on keys rubbed off after about a year.
those feet that stick out in the corners take up extra desk space.

4 out of 5 eggsDoes its job.

Pros: - Comfortable
- Blue, Red, & Purple LEDs are cool

Cons: - Cheap, plastic feel

Other Thoughts: Not really much to say about. I mean it has been working for the past 6 months, so it seems good to me.

2 out of 5 eggsAnnoying

Pros: Decent keyboard with nice color options for the backlight.

Cons: The backlight randomly started not working. Pressing on the keyboard frame would turn it back on. Clearly something is loose or shorting internally. Cheap construction apparently.

Other Thoughts: This is a cheaper keyboard so I should have some expectation of it not being as good as others, however the main thing for this keyboard is the backlight. For that to have issues so soon after purchase is unacceptable.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Has a decent weight and feels well built which is a huge plus because I have 2 cats who love to knock stuff on the ground.
I like the lights; 3 choices as well as being to dim them if you want.
Length of cord seems decent enough.
Good feel to keys.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: I am just happy to have upgraded from a cheap, not so sturdy keyboard to this.
