5 out of 5 eggsAwesome monitor

Pros: Others have said it but I didn't believe it - this monitor arrived at my door within 72hrs of ordering it having shipped from South Korea to the States. It arrived before stuff I ordered locally. Monitor looks terrific - no dead pixels and games look amazing.

Cons: Others have said the stand could be better, I suppose so but I don't really have an issue with it.

5 out of 5 eggsNot one dead pixel and great display

Pros: I don't know how they do it but I ordered this on Thursday 9/18 and it shipped from S. Korea and made it to my office in Atlanta, GA on Monday 9/22. Very nice looking monitor. Using it's native resolution works great. Very bright and so far can't detect any backlight bleed at all. The stand seems a bit wobbly but it's fine sitting on your desk or table. I haven't had a monitor this size not wobble a little on it's stand. If you use the backplate screw pattern for a wall mount, you'll need to use some washers because the standard screw that comes with wall mounts is too long (thread holes on monitor are shallower than standard but deep enough that you don't have to worry about them coming out or anything. Can't say anything negative about this beauty. Time will tell.

Cons: None so far.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat monitor, a few small issues

Pros: The panel is wonderful. Stunning color out of the box. Thankfully I did not have to do any adjustments, it looks great as is. Overclocked to 96Hz without issue, did not bother pushing it to 120. No dead pixels as promised, no backlight bleed. UNBELIEVABLE shipping speed from MNW Global.. 36 hours from South Korea to my doorstep in Texas.

Cons: Non-standard VESA mount depth (more on this)
Backlight glow, not bleed (more on this)
Monitor housing and stand flimsy like everyone else mentioned.
8ms response time is a TINY bit noticeable in games, but not a big deal.

Other Thoughts: So, I wanted to write this review because I haven't seen anyone else comment about the VESA mount. VESA is a standard, the spacing of the holes and the depth of the holes is standard. On this monitor, the screw hole depth is shallower than the standard. The roughly half-inch screws needed to mount the monitor will be about 3mm too long so your screws will not go in all the way. I had to use 2 washers with each screw to fill the extra space when mounting to ensure a tight fit. So if you have any and plans to mount this, also plan for a trip to the hardware store.

There is also a slightly annoying backlight glow. It's not bleed. The bleed issue some people have is because the framing around the panel is bent and light seeps through. The bleed is fixable. The glow has to do with the matte coating and the way the light scatters as it passes through it. As you move your head around, the glowing moves. It's present in all 4 corners and comes and goes depending on the location of your head relative to the screen. If you search for pictures where people fixed their bleed problem, you will still see the glowing pretty clearly. It's more of an annoyance than a problem, but it is something to consider, and you can't fix it.

And yes, the plastic that holds the panel in place is a piece of junk. Very flimsy just as everyone said.

With that out of the way, the monitor is otherwise just stunning. The colors are great straight out of the box. You may be shocked how bright it is at first, but there's no getting around that.. the bigger your screen is, the more surface area needs to be filled with light, so naturally it will be brighter. No dead pixels as promised.

I was completely floored by the shipping speed from MWN. It shipped Monday morning from South Korea (add 14 hours for time zone difference), and was out for delivery Tuesday morning. Box arrived in perfect condition with more tape than I've ever seen on a package in my life. It was packaged very securely.

Overall happy with the purchase. A little annoyed by the glowing, but I'll get over it.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Monitor!

Pros: Great monitor at a great price! No dead pixels! This was my first IPS monitor, and now I cringe whenever I have to use TN! Can't compare to VA, however.

Cons: IPS glow is noticeable on dark screens, but this goes for every IPS monitor.

Other Thoughts: I recently bought the True10 for even less money than this, trading off the perfect pixel guarantee for DP, HDMI, and 10-bit color support, and the True10 is unquestionably a better monitor, which I didn't think was possible until I saw it. Have to take off an egg here for not having a clear cost/performance structure.

5 out of 5 eggsImpressive!

Pros: ZERO dead/stuck pixels, extremely bright. Color calibrated, not to bad out of box. Blows my 2 other 1080p's out of the water. Others have complained about the stand being cheap, plug and manual being Korean but come on, who buying from Newegg doesn't have a spare power cord laying around and actually reads the manual :). BUY IT

Cons: none as of writing this.

Other Thoughts: Ordered on Saturday from MNW GLOBAL, at my door waiting for me on Tuesday to Missouri!

5 out of 5 eggsA Slice of Amazing

Pros: Arrived quickly, looks great, no dead/stuck pixels. No noticeable response lag. Honestly the greatest looking monitor I've set eyes on. Great for movies, gaming, working on documents/code side-by-side, and pretty much everything else you can do with a monitor. Seriously, it's a great buy.

Cons: Enclosure is cheap, only a single DVI input, no OSD controls (that I know of). The buttons on the monitor control brightness and volume. I would read the manual to see if there's a combination of buttons but I don't read Korean.

Other Thoughts: Very satisfied so far, only had it for a little while but from other reviews, I have high hopes for longevity.

Included AC power cable is Korean. It does come with a travel adapter but I recommend using a standard North American cable if you have one as it reduces bulk on crowded surge protectors.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing shipping!!!

Pros: Price is cheap due to brand name, uses the same PLS that Samsung uses. Amazing picture, blows 1920x1080 out of the water in comparison. The stand doesn't seem all that cheap like others state, just a big monitor so it does wiggle some if bumped.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: This Korean company ships faster than any US companies, it's free shipping!

4 out of 5 eggsa Korean power adapter? and a manual in Korean? seriously?

Pros: A good enough monitor that it only loses 1 egg for absolute obnoxiousness of the presentation. A brilliant picture, I have my new Qnix 27" next to a 23" Asus monitor and the difference is obvious. Good packaging, a nice thick plastic envelope and also a plastic covering to protect the monitor surface.

Cons: Obnoxious presentation, by which I mean things like: the power adapter is for a Korean outlet, this is annoying even with an American outlet coupler provided. The manual is 100% Korean, and I actually read manuals. The stand is shaky and flaky.

Other Thoughts: If you are a crazy techie who wants to pay a very reasonable price for a great looking 27" monitor, you might quickly get over the cons and be very happy with this monitor.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Incredible brightness, contrast and color!

Cons: Dark levels are somewhat diminished with bright ambient light. Most people would never notice and it's still an amazing picture in bright ambient light.

5 out of 5 eggsQnix 27" QHD

Pros: Pros:
Nice viewing angles
No dead pixels
Sharp resolution
Minimal color variance
No bleed through
No noticeable blur or ghosting

Cons: Cons:
Bezel is rather plain looking
Stand is somewhat lacking. Though not as bad as you would think after reading some of these reviews.
Speakers are bad. Seriously. Don't use them.

Other Thoughts: In my opinion, at the price point this monitor is competing at it is a no-brainer. I will be buying two more to replace my old samsung 2770s for some sweet sweet eyefinity candy.
