5 out of 5 eggsGreat mouse but....

This review is from: Microsoft IntelliMouse Optical 1.1A - White

Pros: Great mouse! Nothing more needs to be said about the mouse!

Cons: Cons? With the mouse, none. 5 eggs. NewEgg's customer service? 0 eggs!

Other Thoughts: This mouse is supposed to come with a USB to PS2 adapter. I did not receive the adapter. I contacted their (so called) customer service to get this rectified. After multiple emails back and forth, it was clear that NewEgg was just giving me a run around. All they needed to do was send me an adapter. Very poor show on NewEgg's part. But this is not surprising as their customer service has been in a nose dive for the last few years! Terrible!!

5 out of 5 eggsMy Favortie Mouse

This review is from: Microsoft IntelliMouse Optical 1.1A - White

Pros: This is my favorite mouse but then I only use it for normal Windows navigation and never for gaming. It slides over most mouse pads well and the pointing is very accurate and smooth even with high resolutions on the screen. All I need is four buttons and the wheel. it is both the most comfortable in my mildly arthritic hands and light of any I have tried.

Cons: None considering my limited needs. I wish I could find a mouse as light and comfortable to hold that would perform as well that is wireless but I have tried and have given up for a number of reasons.

Other Thoughts: I have low demands for a mouse - that it be light and comfortable for my mildly arthritic hands and the pointing to be smooth and precise. This is the 3rd or 4th mouse of this model that I have used. I keep trying wireless and more modern mice and I keep coming back to this one. So far they last 5 to 7 years of daily service for me. The failure mode is usually an intermittent contact on the left button - just wears out I guess.

5 out of 5 eggsStill working after 10 years

This review is from: Microsoft IntelliMouse Optical 1.1A - White

Pros: Solid construction.
Totally ambidextrous.
Full sized mouse fits even the largest hands smoothly.
Reprogramable buttons in the perfect spots.

Cons: Cannot change DPI speed, meaning cursor moves slowly across high resolution screens.
Can be hard to pick up for positioning due to being smooth on either side just below the side buttons.
Large 'eye' in the back shows the bright red light at all times

Other Thoughts: As a left-handed user, this mouse has been my single best (if only) choice in mice for the past decade. Although it's dpi is falling behind larger displays and modern gaming requirements, it's still working perfectly even after all these years.

5 out of 5 eggsMy favorite Gaming Mouse

This review is from: Microsoft IntelliMouse Optical 1.1A - White

Pros: Mouse button 4 & 5 are recognized as Mouse button 4 & 5. I have used some other gaming mice and you need to setup macros etc.... it's a simple mouse with capability to macro and customize buttons without all the confusion of the other mice.

No batteries!!! I will admit I am partial to wired mice, but I don't ever want to be in the middle of a game and need to swap out batteries, or have it die cause I forgot to put it on the charger.

Cons: I'm trying to think of some and I can't.

Other Thoughts: I have use this mouse for normal PC work, internet surfing, as well as gaming (UT2k4, WoW, Modern Warfare 2, etc...) I love it, little to no setup and great for novice end users and gamers alike.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Value Gaming Mouse

This review is from: Microsoft IntelliMouse Optical 1.1A - White

Pros: Shape and size is designed well.
Helped my aim in fps games (especially counter strike)
Top pro gamers use this mouse for a reason, its seriously one beastly mouse.

Cons: Lack of a side button.
Boring appearance (if you want to be nit picky).

Other Thoughts: One thing that you'll want to do if you play games is up the mouse hz to 500, it'll result in smoother movements.

Other mice that I've tried in my long lasting obsession of finding the best gaming hardware: Razer deathadder, Logitech G5, Logitech mx518, Intellimouse 3.0, Steelseries Xai. This mouse tops all of them in its comfort and performance.

The mouse naturally aids you in achieving a semi-comfortable claw grip on your mouse. A lot of mice designed for the claw style grip are very awkward shaped and hurt your hand if you're used to palm grip like myself.
I realize that the claw grip or semi claw grip can provide more accurate movements but a lot of mice just feel weird when you claw them. This mouse is perfect for fps gamers!

My experience is higher than your average pc gamer, I've played fps games (exclusively counter strike 1.6) for 5 years about 20-30 hours a week.... Yeah, I'm a nerd.
Take my word, buy this mouse, you won't regret it.

4 out of 5 eggsSolid Mouse

This review is from: Microsoft IntelliMouse Optical 1.1A - White

Pros: Has two shoulder buttons placed right where I like'm. Seems to be good quality for a relatively inexpensive mouse. Works great for gaming/web browsing.

Cons: Red light stays on even when cpu is off, since my desk is right next to my bed it can prove annoying when trying to sleep. Problem solved by covering it with a cloth/adult clean-up tissue.

Other Thoughts: My Girlfriend makes fun of me for "tucking in my mouse". Well she would if I had one :(. So lonely... but at least I've got this sweet mouse!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for the basics

This review is from: Microsoft IntelliMouse Optical 1.1A - White

Pros: This mouse does everything a typical person would want. I've had this mouse for a little over a year and it is still fully functional. Now that I've had a 5 button mouse, I can't imagine going back to a 3 button mouse. The side buttons are excellent for browsing and great for gaming too. For less than $20 this mouse is absolutely great!

Cons: At just about the year mark the scroll wheel had warn to the point that it sometimes scrolls an extra click down or up when I scroll on a page, but this is fairly uncommon and an issue I can live with

5 out of 5 eggsA pretty good, inexpensive mouse

This review is from: Microsoft IntelliMouse Optical 1.1A - White

Pros: By installing the drivers from Microsoft's website, I could program the additional buttons however I wanted. Comes in handy for gaming.

Cons: Has kind of a low tracking resolution. But then again, it's not a laser mouse, so that's not much of a surprise.
