2 out of 5 eggsNot Charging Model

Pros: Holds the phone in place.

Cons: Doesn't charge the phone.
Overpriced piece of plastic that just holds the phone.

Other Thoughts: The charging version of this is part# ECS-K1F2BEGSTD
I had to order it from the UK. Not that the charging model is quite expensive because it also does audio out via bluetooth.

4 out of 5 eggsDecent

Pros: Well built. Sticks very well to windows and given the way it is constructed, does not vibrate much - unlike many universal mounts. Allows access to buttons. Perfect for use as a dashcam, although the phone may have to be mounted high and pointed a bit downwards to avoid seeing the mount itself. Position is very easily adjusted without having to turn the knob much at all. Almost no "in-between" - it's either completely tight or completely loose with less than a 30 degree turn.

Cons: Relatively hard to push the phone in and out. On first try, I thought something was wrong and that the the mount was way too tight - to the point it was unusable and had to be returned.

I did find that mounting it bottom first helps. Must be done carefully, because the buttons on the phone do stick out and the mount will more likely than not push on them.

Taking it out can be as hard or even harder than putting it in unless excessive force is used. It probably will take some getting used to. Have to push it out from the back from both ends as to not apply direct force to the camera itself.

Other Thoughts: It's a decent mount and does its job well. It does take some getting used. It does lack the 3-pin connector/prongs for charging, but with all seriousness, it really is not a good reason to trash this mount. There's obviously still access to the charging USB connector and it is held tightly in place despite of everyone else's claims that it's a damage risk. Unless you accidentally pull really hard on the charging cord, nothing will happen.

Although I would prefer the version with the prongs over this one (which is not currently available due to the physical differences in the phones), I do recommend this one - especially over any universal mount. I have used a universal mount with my previous phone and this one is superior to it.

1 out of 5 eggsReally?

Pros: Holds phone securely, doesn't swivel easily.

Cons: This mount snaps around the perimeter of the phone, so you end up hitting buttons undocking it, so check your ringer before you go into a meeting. When it's cold out like it is now, you'll swear something is going to break. You still have to use a *thin* charger cable, and my stereo cable doesn't seat in the audio jack because of the narrow mount opening. No magnetic dock mode. Most disappointing part of an otherwise epic phone.

1 out of 5 eggsPoor excuse for a dock

Pros: Holds phone in place. Attaches to car.

Cons: Dock does not charge phone or utilize the pogo pins. Dock is a glorified piece of plastic for $32. While the Newegg price is lower than Verizon or Samsung, you would be better off getting a quality universal dock.
