Taking audio quality to a whole new level, the Jabra FREEWAY features a three speaker system – a first-ever in the category – along with HD Ready Voice, ensuring superior audio quality on both ends of a call.

It provides unique versatility as both a device to be used inside or outside the car and for both calls and listening to music with any device – a tablet, phone, mp3 player or video game console. The Jabra FREEWAY features an intuitive design and a complete hands-free experience. Once the Jabra FREEWAY is clipped to the car’s visor, it automatically turns on when the car door is opened and then helps pair the device to a mobile phone. You can then sit back with your hands on the wheel and use your voice to solicit all kinds of commands – making, answering, ending, redialing or rejecting calls - without touching the phone. And once a conversation is finished or a destination reached, the FREEWAY automatically shuts off so there is no need to worry about saving battery life for the next use.

The Jabra FREEWAY also comes with a free one year subscription (valued at $59) to Voice Assist, a voice controlled app that can be used with any type of mobile phone. With Voice Assist, calls and commands can be performed all by voice controlled communication, allowing you to call, send or respond to emails and text messages, or post to social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter, all by voice. Those features combined with Voice Guidance, which communicates pairing instructions, battery level and connection status, and Caller ID, provides a truly hands-free experience. Other key features include Virtual Surround Sound, delivering superior audio quality and rich, crisp, full stereo sound anywhere your day takes you – at home, in the car or at a friend’s house – and A2DP for playing music and podcasts or listening to GPS directions, long talk and stand-by times, and connection to two Bluetooth devices at same time.

  • newegg Enjoy clear calls and surround sound music Equipped with 3 speakers, Jabra FREEWAY delivers virtual surround sound for excellent sonic superiority. Together with HD Ready Voice and dual-mic technology, Jabra FREEWAY enables immersive music experience and crystal clear conversation.

You then simply use your own voice to make, answer, end, redial or reject calls - while keeping both hands safely on the wheel. And there is no need to press buttons to turn the Jabra FREEWAY on or off. It automatically turns on when you get into your car and off when you get out. 2 out of 5 eggsWorks sometimes

Pros: When it works, it is perfect, people can hear me and I can hear them clearly.

Cons: Too many people say they cannot understand what I am saying, and I have to turn off the device. I need it to work everytime. I know need to purchase another device as I use this for business.

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic Speakerphone

Pros: I drive for a living, and I hate in ear bluetooth, so this speaker phone has been terrific. The speaker is quite loud for as small as it is, though I much prefer to use the FM tuner so that I can listen through the car stereo.

When you get near the vehicle the bluetooth automatically picks up and connects, which is a great feature.

The hands-free voice dialing is decent.

Battery life is top notch.

Cons: FM transmitter could be better. Most stations are fuzzy and it is sometimes hard to find any station that is audible.

The voice command feature can be annoying if you don't speak absolutely clear and quite loud.

A bit pricey.

Other Thoughts: I use the speaker phone to listen to music, audio books and streaming radio. It is an absolutely fantastic device. I highly recommend this model.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat product

Pros: This device is easy to use and setup. The sound is clear. The FM transmitter is decent- more below. The motion sensor works- once you realize how it works. Once you get out of range(15-20 feet) it will disconnect. Overall- it is a really good speakerphone. It works well with my blackberry.

Cons: The fm transmitter does not go below 88.1.

Other Thoughts: The unit works quite well. It did not work that well the first day I had it for some reason- then the next day it worked wonderfully. Not sure why. My voice is clear- and so is the person I am talking to. I love the motion sensor.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat product

Pros: Working quite well for me for voice calls. Seller got the product to me quickly. Seamless and no problems.

Cons: Not sure if Vlingo and other voice command apps are picking up commands from the Jabra or the actual phone's microphone. Doesn't seem to understand unless I'm close to phone.

4 out of 5 eggsvery good

Pros: I don't know much about blue tooth car kits, but I did a good research and bought this and I very much satisfied with the product. The features that i liked are
-It doesn't connect to my iPhone when i was near my car, and connects really fast only when we step in the car saving much battery life.
-caller name announcing and answer/ignore command for calls is good for me, so i don't need to press a button for that
-The sound clarity is very clear and loud enough that I don't really need FM transmitter to use our car speakers.
-The supposed 14hr battery life seems to be good enough because for me it's been around 10 days, and still saying 6hrs talk time left (i don't talk much though, but i am listening to music for some time on the way to my office)

Cons: when I use FM transmitter to listen to the music, it was never that clear like from the music discs. I am always getting slight interference from the near by FM stations. I tried all the frequencies possible with no much difference. I don't know whether this is common for all devices, for me it's a disappointment and so this got only 4eggs. I wish I could give this 4 1/2 eggs because i don't really use FM transmitter

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent

Pros: 3 Speakers!

I installed Poweramp Music Player on my Android phone and after tweaking the equalizer the A2DP streaming is better that expected (considering the size of the Freeway).

Buttons, buttons, buttons. Once used to their placement all is well.

Volume is adjustable from a whisper, to loud. It will distort but I'd imagine if you need it "that' loud to hear you probably would make better use of an in the ear device. Or simply use the FM transmitter(see Con's below).

A'men, Jabra uses a Micro-USB plug to power the Freeway. Not another proprietary power cord to keep track of and carry around.

Cons: Might be my vehicle, but the Freeways' FM transmitter is weak. My Cruiser2 and Garmin nuvi's FM transmitter blows the Freeway to the roadside along with the carrion. Kinda bummed out the transmitter isn't as good as my 4yr old nuvi, or the Cruiser2 it replaced

Other Thoughts: All things considered I am pleasantly surprised by the Freeway. It's sound is more clear and louder that the Jabra Cruiser2 it replaced.
