5 out of 5 eggsGreat mouse

Pros: Very accurate, works on my bed covers as well!! Adjustable weight is nice. Definitely worth more than the 50 bucks I spent on it!!

Cons: If you release the scroll wheel and spin it, it often goes back a bit.

2 out of 5 eggsGreat sensor! The rest is garbage.

Pros: * Looks good in a photo (don't look too close).
* Nice selection of weights that were easy to access. (also a CON. See below)
* Solid button placement and good tactile 'click', loved the mouse wheel.

Cons: * Weight 'bay'; Great idea to have the weights bottom load and the compartment cover which holds them in place to have magnetic latch. Doesn't actually close all the way, probably due to poor construction. Next point.
* Cheap-o materials. Compared to other mice in this price range (or any price range really), this is by far the worst I've used. Feels very flimsy.
* For a mice that is billed as having a great sensor, tracking was intermittent. Sometimes the cursor wouldn't move at all.
* Surprisingly bad mouse from Logitech. I've owned several Logitech mice and even the cheapest of their mice felt\worked better than this garbage.
* Price!!! Seriously. Over $100 for a mouse that can't track well (on a matte black alum pad) and feels like it would have made a better freebee thrown in with some other gear.
* Software. Profiles didn't actually work. Not sure if it was overly complicated or if it was just broken but I've never had issues with other software including other version Logitech software. Just overall bad.

Other Thoughts: For this price, there are so many options. Trust me, just skip this one. I was so excited for a high end optical sensor I ignored the other 'bad' stuff I read about this mouse. Mybad. Stay very far away from this mouse. Giving 1 egg for designing the sensor themselves. 1 egg for what the design looked like on the designer's monitor even if the execution was beyond disappointing.

5 out of 5 eggsThe only issue is that it's blue.

Pros: I purchased this mouse after doing some research as I previously owned the G500 which has double clicking issues which I failed to seek out at the time. It got so bad that I had to get a new mouse, so I set out to make a decision that would last at least five years, and I settled on the G502 Proteus Core. I purchased this mouse because it is as heavy as the G500, and I like my mice heavy. This thing weighs in at 5.9 oz (168 grams {mouse plus cable}) or 4.3 oz (121 grams {mouse only}) making it very solid for steady handed aiming. It comes with 18 grams of tuning weights which are divided into 3.6 gram segments. The weights go beneath a plate under the mouse and surround the laser sensor. This plate is solidly held in place with plastic tabs and a neodymium magnet. I also looked for the dreaded double click issue and found relatively little report with this particular mouse, so that in and of itself is a huge plus for me. The mouse is all but the absolutely perfect size for my hand which I would comfortably say is a medium-large sized adult hand leaning notably more toward medium. If you have large hands the mice should fit nicely still, but you may notice your pinky dragging along the surface of your mouse pad as there is no place to rest it on the right side of the mouse, however, the grip is comfortable and forgiving enough to lightly press your pinky against. Speaking of the grips, they are nicely textured and actually do what they're supposed to without gumming up or getting that grimy silicone peeling that some mice get after extensive sessions. The number of buttons which adorn this mouse is perfect, and since they are customizeable through Logitechs software can add a great deal of flexibility to this mouse past gaming applications. You can program these buttons for shortcuts, commands, etc... I also am quite pleased with the improved range and functionality of the DPI settings for this mouse. from two hundred all the way up to twelve thousand, this mouse is at home on any resolution of screen allowing the user to tune in the exact speed they want, and up to four others as well. With this functionality also comes a DPI button conveniently placed directly in front of the thumb resting on the left side of the mouse. This button allows you to (upon pressing and holding) switch to a preset DPI of your choice to temporarily use for tasks such as steadying your aim for a perfect CS;GO head shot, or to drop down to a reasonable setting to achieve extreme precision in Photoshop or other programs. The scroll wheel on this mouse in my personal opinion is quite something. It is made from metal, has a relatively soft scroll step, and has a button immediately below it that unlocks it from ratcheting mode into free spinning mode which makes it great for quick zoom or hyper scrolling on long web pages or PDF documents. Anyone that is used to a typical off the shelf mouse will probably think the scroll resistance is extremely low, (Continued in Cons)

Cons: but after a week or two you begin to appreciate a less achy index finger that comes with the reduced resistance. The bright blue G logo and DPI indicators can be turned off in the software, but are also dimmable. Finally the cable. The cable on this mouse is a permanently attached one which is braided quite tightly in a nylon material which surrounds a neoprene sleeve that surrounds the actual mouse cables. The quality and thickness of the cable strikes a great balance between style, weight, strength, flexibility, and length. This mouse is well worth its seemingly all but ridiculous price in my opinion, and this is coming from someone who almost dropped Logitech entirely. The only way this mouse would be perfect is if it came in an RGB option, then I would buy two of them so I could continue to use it after the old one finally stopped working. ACTUAL CONS SECTION: Just the blue plastic tab on the weight cover, which is essentially just a nitpick due to the fact that I don't want to sound like an absolutely mesmerized fanboy and would rather prefer to be seen as an honestly stated owner.

Other Thoughts: Granting you have the budget and the use for a mouse as versatile as this, buy it, and I guarantee you will not be disappointed.

5 out of 5 eggsIts logitech

Pros: Weight (I prefer heavy mouse)
Extra adjustable weights
precise and no acceleration
REALLY good sensor
Awesome build quality
So many buttons

Cons: Not for you if you want a light mouse
If they can give a rubber like feel (Similar to steelseries rival) on the top, that would make it perfect.
There should be more color options
And please make that led color changeable how hard is RGB led seriously at this price?

Other Thoughts: Good buy for gaming. I prefer Logitech for mouse always.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Mouse

Pros: - Dynamic DPI switching
- Weights for balance
- It's wired (I prefer them that way)
- Much cheaper than the (mostly) comparable Razer Ouroboros
- Excellent optical sensor

Cons: The DPI scaling buttons are in a weird spot just beside the Left-Click button, and if you're not paying attention, you could click one accidentally.

Other Thoughts: I have one of these at home, and bought a second for work because I work with Flash, Illustrator, and Photoshop.

2 out of 5 eggsDisappointed

Pros: Pretty, enough weights to actually make a difference. lots of features, 12000dpi.

Cons: DPI changes when I die in HAWKEN, when I kill someone, just because. I had to change it to only one DPI setting to make it stop. O well, HAWKEN is a beta right? Well okay I'm playing the shipping model now, and it does it in BF4, and Painkiller... This is really worse than horrible; I can't get the feel for any game as suddenly I can't spin fast enough or the mouse is so incredibly over-sensitive I can't aim at anything. It was actually making me nauseous with vertigo last night.

Other Thoughts: After changing the dpi to only one setting I alt+tabbed out to raise the dpi a bit. The Logitech gaming software wouldn't open. What should take 5 seconds, is at 10 seconds and still nothing. Go back to game, go back to desktop and it's crashed.
