1 out of 5 eggsTerrible mouse...

Pros: Pros: Looks like it was made in the 70s, STARWARS era...

It has Tilt Wheel which is what I need but ugh...

Cons: Where to begin. I'm 5'5" not a big man and this mouse is barely usable by me. The problem is the thumb area. I'm always hitting the back button on this thing because there is no room for my thumb without pushing that button. I have smaller hands. So it's a problem.

The Scroll Wheel is horrible! It's nearly impossible to use because it's SUPER SLIPPERY! I have soft tender girlie hands too and I can't get traction. It's also a heavy wheel and is rather loud and has hard rough clanks as it does rotate. Of course you can just turn this off and let it freely spin around screwing up everything as you use the mouse because without it switched on it's like the Wild West and it spins if you look at it funny. Totally unusable.

The surface texture feels like ash. I'm not kidding either. It's not a nice feel at all which is odd because the sides of the mouse have a rubber texture to them and oddly enough it even feels more like sandpaper than a nice rubber texture.

It does not come with a manual or CD and it's rather frustrating to find the software to use the features of this mouse. If you go to Logitechs mouse page it's not there. You have to go their gaming section and download it only to find out that it default downloads the Crapple I mean Apple software. A search in Google will eventually give you a link to get the Windows version.

The Braided cable is kinda weird. Mind had kinks in it and was kinda slightly unraveled in various parts of the cord. It's also a heavy cable and I have no idea why. Is it lined with metal? It feels like it. Very odd.

The mouse is heavy. No need for weights. It's too heavy. The back foot slider is very small too. Which is odd because that is where you would put most the weight.

The magnet bottom is rubbish and barely holds the cover on. Again I have no idea why they did this.

The mouse is rather narrow and while that can be good I find it bad in this case. It's just a weird fit and with the thumb thangie stopping me from getting my thumb down onto the mousepad it makes this mouse unusable for me for detail precision work in other graphic programs.

No nice LEDs. For a mouse at this price I am amazed you can't change the color of the GIANT silly "G" on the mouse. Very lame because it's an off color of blue. It's what I would call a girlie eye shadow blue.

I could go on about more minor things but I'm just very disappointed in this mouse and hope I save someone money and time from getting this. I'd return it but Newegg is a bit of jerks when it comes to returns. I should have ordered this through another retailer where it would be no questions and they send someone to pick it up at no cost but I wanted to save $2 usd. Not good. I will see my 6 year old niece wants it to play with. Will be an expensive 6 year old toy but that's how disappointed I am in this mouse that I can't be bothered with returning it even.

I think Logitech is really screwing up and needs to stop letting the old suite guys in t

Other Thoughts: This was Logitech's last change with me. Unless it's free I am staying away from their new stuff.

2 out of 5 eggsUsed for Rocket League and CS:GO, also WoW a bit

Pros: Great mouse for FPS, sensitivity is great, weighted well. Once I got the driver in I was able to configure it to do what I wanted logically.

Cons: Mouse2 unreliable, does not always work. Scroll (Mouse5) is weighted and annoying how it keeps scrolling after I have released it. It would be nice if I was used to it maybe, but I have never had a mouse with this feature..

Other Thoughts: This mouse does not always respond to right click. I have my finger centered over it. It is 1/25 or so that it does not respond but that is enough to make it worthless for gaming for me. Also the mouse wheel spins non-stop, it is weighted, some might like this but I feel it is a bug rather than feature. Constantly scrolling in areas where I do not want to do this. Hopefully if it is replaced I can change the way this mouse5 scrolls because it is more than annoying in most games/applications. I can't think where it would be useful except for a file folder that has 1000+ items.

2 out of 5 eggsNice mouse, but this one has issues

Pros: Great mouse, high sensitivity, good settings, lots of options including physical weights

Cons: This mouse does not always respond to right click.

Other Thoughts: If this mouse did not have a weighted scroller it would be perfect. Mine seems like the switch in mouse2 is unreliable as well. Returning to see if the next one is better.

5 out of 5 eggsAll the buttons

Pros: I ordered the G502 in Dec 2014.
This mouse has been a joy to use. My previous (and still functioning) mouse was a G9X, also from Logitech. My reason for upgrading was to get a flawless sensor without the negative acceleration associated with laser sensors - I was unaware of sensor acceleration when I bought the G9X.

Cons: When I first got this mouse, I found myself clumsily hitting the DPI switching buttons (by default more than one of the eleven buttons will cycle between DPI presets). My solution was to delete all but one DPI profile in the Logitech Gaming Software utility.

This may be an indictment of my coordination rather than mouse ergonomics.

Other Thoughts: I would recommend this mouse to anyone.
The pictures make it look very angular and strange, but it is very comfortable to use.

2 out of 5 eggsScroll wheel has issues

Pros: Lots of buttons. Gaming software is mostly useful.

Cons: 1. Biggest issue was the scroll wheel. It floats and tends to jerk back a little after you finish scrolling. For example, scroll down a web page, let go, and the web page jumps back up a little. Even a bigger issue is just moving the mouse up and down will make web pages scroll up and down a little without touching the scroll wheel. I called logitech support and they had me push the button below the scroll wheel that adds drag. It fixes the above issue but scrolling is now noisy due to the extra drag and there is no fast scrolling.
2. Can't adjust cursor speed in the software. Just in windows and there are only 11 speeds to pick from, so not much fine tuning options.
3. The two main mouse buttons have a fairly noisy click and require more pressure than other gaming mice I've used. Also sometimes it will make the click sound even when I haven't applied enough pressure to actually make the mouse button do anything. Basically press the button, hear the click sound, then press a little more to make it actually do something. This issue kicks in more depending on where exactly your finger is on the button when you press it. Overall I don't feel this mouse it precise enough or easy enough to use for it to be a good gaming mouse.

4 out of 5 eggsSolid mouse

Pros: Lots of buttons
Good fit
Tons of features

Cons: Slightly heavier than the deathadder
Relatively small
The side "grips" are rough and uncomfortable, but have worn away with time
It's easy to click the free-floating scroll wheel sideways when you just try to middle mouse click

Other Thoughts: Other than the fit for me personally, this mouse is amazing. It's held up extremely well, has tons of buttons, automatic profiles for games.

5 out of 5 eggsG502

Pros: Fit, Form and Function. This thing has the best feel of any other mouse i have used or tried out. I love how much this mouse can be customized. Software is user friendly. The weights that are included just make it that much better. My wife also likes the mouse and can adjust it's sensitivity to suit her on the fly with out needing to be shown how. It's intuitive to use it's extra buttons and features.

Cons: When I picked it up it cost more than it does now. but honestly no complaints

Other Thoughts: I would by for my friends or family that use the same grip style as mine.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat mouse

Pros: -Highly customizable
-Durable
-Comfortable
-Buttons are easy to access
-Attractive look

Cons: -No option to make wireless (not that I personally care... or even know if that's an option on mice)
-No different color selection

Other Thoughts: I've had this mouse for about 5 months now, and it's a great improvement to the very standard HP mouse I was using previously. The mouse includes weights that can be placed inside to adjust to anyone's liking. Personally, I tried these out with different weight styles and didn't really like it, so I took mine out; but I'm sure there are people out there who like a heavier mouse for whatever reason. The software that comes with the mouse allows for a lot of customization - from the sensitivity, to the brightness of the mouse illumination. The scroll wheel also has a button that can be pushed to make the mouse go from smooth scrolling like a car tire, to precision clicking that commonly used in games. The cord is long enough to reach the back of my computer case. Thus far, I've had no issues/problems with it. The cons I've listed don't really matter to me, but I've added them in case anyone else is looking for those features.
